Nice quality Clippers
It's so hard to find good quality nail clippers with all the junk out there. I have pretty thick big toe nails and this clipper took care of them no problem. Nice and sturdy , build quality seems very good and looks like it should last. I'd recommend them for regular nails and especially if you have thick nails.

Wish Bassett was still around
I bought these straight edge clippers hoping that the bold, sturdy look would also translate into quality. These fell short in that department. They're ok, but have a tendency to slip off your finger while pressing down ( and not as sharp as I had hoped). Guess I could put some sort of grip on it. But at this price, I think it should already be on there. My old Bassett (made in USA) clippers are STILL sharp and precise. Too bad they were acquired by another company, and you know how quality suffers when that happens.

Better than I had expected.....very nice.
This clipper is well worth the money I spent and built right with good materials. Regarding thick toenails this is one I can recommend. Not a "lightweight" like so many others in this price range (or higher). If I wanted to cut wire or strip wires I would have bought a pair of wire cutters.

Very sharp, a bit awkward, can also cut into toes around the intended nails
As one gets older, reaching and cutting toenails can get more awkward, but these clippers certaainly help with their wide straight jaws. It would be better if the cutter handle was a bit bent flatter at the end for an easier grip. The cutters are very sharp, including on thick nails. You may have to be careful not to draw blood on the actual toes.

Not good
They seem good and sturdy lots of weight to them but they are punching above their weight. I find it difficult to cut my toenails compared to other brands these are not very good
