Fits very easily with top fixture - ideal to those fitted toilets that you cannot access from the back. The old fixture will fall inside, which is not a problem. The measurement between the two holes is ~ 15cm, so be aware if you previous ideal standard is that model . If so, look no further. Easy to remove to clean! This is the second one I have bought - very happy!

These seats are the only ones that will fit our toilet shape (guess that’s deliberate by ideal standard). The soft close on the original ones fitted were terrible and failed very early on. These are so far standing the test of time. Only reason it isn’t 5 stars is because of how insanely expensive these are, even at around £50 for the used like new.

I bought this NON soft close toilet seat by mistake!...BUT....The fittings require NO messing about doing yoga positions to try and put the damn fittings together which the soft close does...bigtime. Also to clean means just untightening the 2 easily accessible allen screws to remove the whole thing for cleaning!....Not sure why the soft close isn't designed better. Despite £20 less cost, ease of fitting / removal makes this a better choice. SOFT CLOSE????.....It's not exactly olympic lifting to open the damn thing is it.

As mentioned by another reviewer this is the only real option (to get the right aesthetic) for my toilet. The fixings go in as expected though regularly come loose (despite proper fastening). The value in terms of price is actually shocking. You can get the same material, with soft close, for around 4x cheaper. Didn’t think I’d be so disappointed in a toilet seat, but here we are.

I nearly didn’t purchase this as the description and reviews made me think it would not be a good quality product? I imagined it would be flimsy but am pleased to report it is solidly made. The hinges are silent and the seat is a perfect fit for my ideal toilet. Fixings are fiddly if you have difficulty accessing the rear of the pan but that was the only drama when carrying out the installation. At full price the item is really expensive and I wouldn’t have paid it as there are plenty more for half the price but as a warehouse deal it was exceptionally good value. Edit: I have now received a second for another toilet in the house and am equally as pleased as I was with the first. Installation was much quicker and easier the second time around too. Edit: I have now purchased a third, it is different to the other two and an improvement I might add. The lid is now a quick release and can be easily removed for cleaning underneath. Like the other two the action is silent and the lid is strong. Not all of the fixings had been included ( a warehousedeal) and I had to use some of the fixings from the one I removed. Installation is easier too with the improved version.
