A nice looking easy to use induction cooktop that's easy on the wallet. I threw away my hotplate. WIth this I can cook and eat my meal before an coventional hot plate is even heated up. It's a no brainer. So far it fuctions as it should. Kinda odd that when plugged in and off it has a blinking red light which is annoying until you get use to it. Guess it serves a purpose but not needed. Check your pans with a magnet. If the magnetic sticks to your cookware you're good to go. Otherwise plan on purchasing some new pans. If you never used an induction stove before get ready for a treat. Instant controlable even heating. You'll never want to go back to electric that's for sure. If you don't have gas then tis is the kinda stovetop you'll want. As for a "hotplate" this thing rocks!! Hope it lasts.

I don't know what the "12 inch" in the title refers to but certainly not the heated surface/coil area. The actual size heating coil is about 6" tops. Also, I don't know if it was defective, but the temperature mode did not control the burner but resulted in 100% power all the time. The combination of these two issues quickly and permanently warped the bottom of the pan I put on the burner and burned the oil. This would be a great product for cooking something in a 6" pot if you don't care about the large amount of counter space it takes up. The unit I had was obviously used and returned as someone had "cleaned" it with dirty dish rag, leaving dirty streaks. The manual was not included in the box.

I purchased this cooktop to use while our kitchen was being remodeled. I love this cooktop! It boils water so fast, and is easy to regulate. I liked it so much I would switch to induction cooking if I wasn't too old to start over and buy all new pots! Great item for the price! Will pass it to my daughter, who uses cooktops daily because her main kitchen is kosher and when she cooks meat, she needs a cooktop. This will be a great addition to her cooking surfaces as her family grows. I can't say enough good things about this product.

Super efficient and easy to take just about anywhere. We have a portable solar generator that is able to power this up all weekend. 3 meals a day! Steak, eggs, bacon, soups... cook what ever you want! We had a "conventional hot plate" before and it would drain our sola generator after just one use! Wow what a difference! The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it is a bit noisy. We didn't realize how noisy it was until we compared it to one that our friend had recently purchased. With that said, we paid a FRACTION compared to what he paid for his. Would and WILL buy again ;-)

This induction cooker is quite good. It is suitable for most types of pots. The heating speed is also very fast. You can also adjust the temperature yourself. And I like the child lock function very much. It can effectively protect my children from burns. But It should be noted that the bottom diameter of this induction cooker should not be less than 12cm, or the system will prompt an error. The price is also within the acceptable range. It is worth recommending to friends.

I never realized just how well induction works it is awesome I use it every day in my trailer saves me on propane for heat instead of cooking I recommend it highly
