Really nice cable
Not sure if this product has been upgraded since previous reviews. But I couldn’t detect any odour, really nice floppy wire. Used it for an electric skateboard where space is very tight. Worked a treat! Three months on the cable is still incredibly flexible. HINT I used 6mm WAGO connectors from tool station to connect cable. A really neat job, which is important if you’re a bit special like me!

Useful set of cables.
These are a decent gauge for my various hobbies. I did not find them particularly easy to solder though, which might simply be a reflection of my soldering skills.

Does the Job
Used this to connect a fridge in a campervan. Good quality cable for the price, without having to buy huge lengths.

Insulation withstand soldering without a problem.
Great flexible lead. Easy to solder on to alligator clip. I used a propane blow lamp on a reasonable flame. Insulation wasn’t harmed at all.

What it says on the tin.
It is indeed 12 Gauge silicon coated wire. I bought it to make up a cable to run between my power station and my mobile solar panel. It's not the easiest of wires to solder onto XT60 connectors, but once the sheath is removed it fits pretty much perfectly. The other ends are fitted with MC4 connectors. If you join the MC4 connectors together running from the XT60 and you put a multimeter across, it's registering 0.5 ohm resistance through a pair of MC4's, the two solder joints on the XT60 and the 10M (total Length) of wire, that's not bad. All soldering done in a damp wood using a gas fired copy of a dremel multitip, in poor lighting. The Silicon sheathing is nice and flexible apart from where the heat shrink has been fitted at the XT60 connector where it's slightly more rigid. All in all a good buy. Will consider buying more for future projects.
