Love it so far. So superior to the plastic ones!
Received this yesterday. I’ve used this type of tool for many years, but always had the plastic version. I’ve had about 4 or 5 different brands. I love them because they are so much easier on my eyes when chopping onions. But the smallest grid has always been pretty hard to use because it takes so much pressure to accomplish the chop. So much pressure that I admit it was the demise of my last plastic one. Thus the purchase of this one. I decided to spend a little more because I know I use the thing. I chop onions, peppers, potatoes, carrots, celery etc. it’s also great because my hubby loves to use it when he makes his breakfast, and also when he is sous-cheffing for me. Today I pulled it out for its maiden use- fine chop of an onion for risotto. Oh my gosh! It did amazing! I sliced the onion into 4 parallel slices and they went through the chopper with ease!!! I’m sooo happy!!! Cleanup was easy, like all of them, but the chopping ease was the star of the show. Is the blade sharper? The angle on the handle give better leverage? The steel construction make for a firmer chop? I don’t know but whatever it is is noticeably easier on the small grid! Worth the higher price in my book!

Very sturdy, easily comes apart for cleaning
Excellent chopper!! It's very sturdy and I plowed through a huge pile of vegetables in no time. I've used the plastic ones before and this one is so much sturdier. I love how it comes apart very easily for cleaning. The mandolin accessory works well also, but it's impossible to get the last bit sliced because of the holder. Small price to pay, I suppose. The blades are very sharp and there's no creaking like it's straining when you are chopping sturdier veggies. Over all, I highly recommend it.

Stainless Steel Chopper/Mandoline Slicer deserves an award for an ingenious product developed
UPDATE on review as of 1/24/2026 I've used prod and chopping is excellent of course when fruits/veggies are firm. Julienne process is hampered because the hole to small - you have to do short stroke slides when sliding items over so that items fall into that hold; any longer on the sliding & the veggie comes out on top .. they need to make that hole longer to compensate the sliding process. EX: When julienning Carrots, I have to apply pressure to get it to cut up & even more pressure after starting to get it all cut up. The slicing of Cucumber, Zucchini is fine. Overall, the price on prod quality is great but the functionality process is not so great to accomplish all items it advertises. First, inventor of this product needs to be given an award for an ingenious product developed. I love stainless steel items that I use in kitchen. They are modern and sturdy. Weight of this product is great. Cutting pieces are not flimsy. Ease of assembling the Mandoline body and changing the cutting pieces, super easy. Safety on removing and inserting pieces a nice touch. I watched all videos on assembly and usage and I'm extremely excited to use. Overall, the quality of this product seems more commercial-like, downscaled for regular kitchen users, which is extremely important to me. I'll be washing pieces before usage but from what I've seen so far, I wish I could give this product a 100 stars. Thank you Developer(s)! You have designed an Excellent Product! Please create more kitchen items.

CHOP CHOP!
This is an excellent well made device for chopping. The main part is steel not plastic so I do not worry about pressing down too hard. The blades are insanely sharp so you should be very careful. The plastic bucket that catches food is durable. Comes with several blade sizes that make it easy to complete whichever task you need. This is such a great time saving device in the kitchen. Cleaning the blades are not easy but the rest of the device is simple to clean.

Good quality. Would recommend
Just what I wanted. Nice and heavy and easy to cut out fruits and vegetables. Easy to clean. I wasn’t sure about the bottom being unattached as most plastic vegetable coppers are one piece. I like being able to take all the vegies to the pan or pot in the container so now I like it. It feels solid and like it won’t break easily. I’ve already run through 2 of the plastic choppers so I was happy to find a strong and sturdy one.

You need this veggie chopper!!!
If you’re the kind of home cook who dreams of prepping veggies in seconds (without sacrificing your fingertips), this all-in-one slicer/chopper is about to become your new kitchen BFF. 🔪 Design & Build Metal Version: Solid, sturdy, and built like it means business. The blades snap in tightly, the frame doesn’t shift or bend under pressure, and cleanup is surprisingly easy. It feels premium Plastic Version: Lightweight and more budget-friendly, but there’s a noticeable difference in quality. It works fine for softer veggies (think cucumbers or strawberries), but when it comes to things like sweet potatoes or carrots? You’ll hear the plastic strain — and possibly crack if you get too aggressive. It’s definitely not a forever tool. ⚙️ Blade Versatility Both versions come with 8 interchangeable blades for slicing, dicing, julienning, grating — you name it. The actual blades are sharp across the board, and the cut consistency is great. However, the metal version holds those blades more securely, making it a safer and more precise experience. 🥒 Container Convenience The catch container is a game-changer for mess-free prep, and both models include it. But again — the metal unit tends to have better 🧼 Cleanup Removable parts make cleaning a breeze, but watch your fingers — these blades aren’t playing around. ⸻ ✅ FINAL VERDICT: • Go Metal if you’re a frequent cook, want long-term durability, or plan on tackling harder vegetables. Worth the slightly higher price tag. • Plastic is fine for casual use, softer foods, or smaller kitchens — but don’t expect it to survive a full meal prep Sunday forever.

Good chopper
This is a great chopper. I am constantly making batches of pico de gallo and this helps me fly through it. It’s well-made and chops the food much better than the plastic version of this vegetable chopper I used to have that more or less squashed the vegetables through.
