Love this fan!
This fan works great! It does exactly what it’s supposed to do and quietly. It’s not gonna blow a crazy breeze but it absolutely moves air while not running any electricity. In the day and age of people loving to homestead, this is exactly part of that life and for a fantastic price. The fan is great quality and will last you a long long time. And the looks are awesome! Stop questioning and buy it

Does exactly what it’s meant to
Right out of the box, this little fan does exactly what it’s meant to: it nearly silently moves air from the hot woodstove out into the room. It’s meant to circulate heat, not to create a breeze, and it does its job very well. I can feel a huge difference in my kitchen area, which doesn’t warm up until the living room area is like a sauna normally. The fan evens out the temperature very nicely and I don’t have to go from bikini to parka along the 20ft diagonal from stove to, well, stove to make a cup of tea.Update Dec 2024: We are well into the second season with this fan and it’s performing exactly as it did last year. The only thing I learned is that, if it sounds a bit rattly, it’s dust on the blades. A quick wipe down (if the fan is off) or blowing into the spinning blades a couple times clears that up. Otherwise it’s dead simple and goes about its business with no input from me.

Works well on a wood stove insert with little room
The media could not be loaded. Overall I feel this is a very good fan. It feels sturdy and runs pretty quietly. I purchased this fan in particular because my wood stove is an insert and has very little space on top to work with. The fan fit just right and began spinning after a few seconds. The “thrust” of the fan isn’t anything crazy but given the fact it’s running solely off the power from the stove and it’s such a small fan it’s sufficient. I think it’ll do a great job and pushing some of the heat from the stove through the house

IT WORKS
My wood burner is in the basement. 9’H x 64’L x 26’ W. I had an electric blower attached to the heat chase on the back of the stove. The bearings died and it was not much more than an unpleasant noise.I bought this to replace that blower. This works better than the blower ever did.The heat distribution is more even throughout the entire basement and my lp furnace cycles less upstairs. For $35, I suspect I am saving some serious coin in the long game.Did I mention that this thing is silent? Big plus.Very effective investment.NOTE: In answer to all those who say this fan doesn’t move the air. It doesn’t work like a conventional fan. If it blows out a match, it would be cooling the surface of the stove. This fan works by making a mild air stream flow over the surface of the stove. Think gentle air current as opposed to an out and out gale force wind. Liken it to wind chill factor in reverse. I hope that explains it. It works.

Works great and has no power cord to worry about
I don’t know how these work without power but they do. The hotter your fireplace the faster they spine. No battery’s needed, no power cord needed. Just set it on you fireplace. These don’t move a lot of air but it does move enough air to make a big difference. I have two of these sitting on my fireplace. I’ve had one at my cabin for 8 years and it’s still working great.

NICE FAN BAD STORE POLICY
Ok here we go. I ordered this fan because its alittle bigger than the 1 we have now. This will go to the cabin I thought. The fan arrived in a timely mannerin a secured Amazon box. Upon opening I noticed the fan box had been opened. It looked fine so I put it on our woodburner to make sure it worked ok before packing it for the next days trip to the cabin. Needless to say the fan didnt work ok. It had a bad wobble. One of the blades was bent an the drive shaft was also bent. I know things happen but clearly this fan had been sold , returned, because it was defective and sold again. So you know the deal we packed it back up, called Amazon for a return slip an drove 10 miles 1 way to staples. We got a new 1 very quickly and it works great. Its a nice fan . But because of the stores work place ethics I wouldnt buy from them again . They should have gave the fan to me after this. If a product is returned defective dont turn around an send it to someone else hoping youll get away with it. BUYER BEWARE!

Inexpensive, works, not as much airflow as I would like.
It works, it moves some hot air off of my wood burning stove. I just wish it moved more air. It's also inexpensive so maybe it's worth the cost, it's definitely better than not having one. But if it moved 50% more air it would be a 5star review.

study, efficient, and quiet
We have a small open-plan 1 1/2 story cottage. In part due to occasional power outages, we depend on a wood stove and a heat pump for space hearing. This is the third stove fan we have used over the last 30 years and it is by far the best. It is sturdy aluminum with six blades for efficiency and no need for a battery. it is ready to work straight from the box, and quiet enough that you may not even notice it. A good choise to improve energy efficiency, it helps to even out the room temperatures so the house is more comfortable. Highly recommended.
