Tasted good
For a canned soup it was pretty good. It had a good mix of spices and ingredients. Like most canned soups, the salt content is there, but at 190 calories for the whole, it's understandable. This makes a good side for taco night. I like things hot so I diced up a jalapeno, tossed it in and poured it into bowls with some broken up nacho chips.

Canned Chicken Tortilla Soup
If you're going to eat a canned soup I'm of the mindset it should be chicken and veggie based and come from a company you know well. This fit the bill. It tastes like a canned chicken tortilla soup. It's convenient and easy. It's the meal you need when you refuse to cook and cant handle the store. It is essential to have canned soups on standby and this one is great.

Old El Paso Chicken Tortilla Soup
Really tasty and hearty Chicken Tortilla Soup. It is a nice mix of white chicken, tomatoes, sweet green peppers, corn and black beans visible in a chicken broth. The soup is not at all spicy, but spice can easily be added. The can has an easy open lid, and the container is 2 servings. The only downside is that the soup is loaded with sodium. Satisfiying, quick to prepare Tortilla Soup. Recommend.

Sort of like what Spaghetti-Os is to Spaghetti
For context, in all of the recipes/dishes I have eaten that have been called Chicken Tortilla Soup have been more like stews (more chunky and thick) than soups (watery but delicious)This is truly a soup. It has chunks and is akin to the vegetable soups from a competing canned soup brand. I'm not real picky and will eat just about anything. This tasted ok. There was some good flavor but I also usually expect a little heat. At least enough to tickle my tongue a little bit. I did not get that heat with this soup.I will say that I was amazed that it was only 190 calories for the whole can. I mean it is soup, but it was quite filling. In summary, it was edible, and I dare say somewhat tasty, but not worth the listed price.

delish!
This chicken tortilla soup is delicious! It has a tiny amount of spice to it. I don't think it's enough to bother anyone. There is tons of flavor. It's an 18 ounce can which is only slightly larger than a normal can of soup. This is not concentrated so it's easy to eat the entire can even though it says it's 2 servings. It has loads of salt so be careful if that's an issue for you. There isn't a lot of any of the ingredients individually, but all together, it is enough to make a satisfying meal. Grab a handful of tortilla chips. Yum.

Flavorful
This can of Old El Paso Chicken Tortilla Soup is very flavorful, and with discernible chunks of chicken. It is a bit on the watery side however. I added cheesy crackers to this, and it tasted really good, and was quite filling too.

Such a good base for a quick delicious meal!
Tortilla soup is one of my favorite meals. I didnt know Old El Paso made a version so I had to try it. A lot of Old El Paso's other products have a bit of heat (their enchilada sauces specifically) so I was ready to doctor it up for my taste buds.I was beyond surprised the heat level was perfect and the only additions I need were some fresh line juice, grated cheese, dollop of sour cream and crushed tortillas! I wanted to make enough for my husband and myself so I also got a rotisserie chicken and mixed that in for some more "substance" and to make it more of a meal for the both of us. I will def be ordering again!
