ASICS Men's Gel-Excite Trail 2 Shoes

I wore these for the first time on an 8 hour shift as a volunteer at our local zoo. I put in about 13,000 steps, much of it outdoors on both hardscape and natural trails. These shoes were great, cool given temps at midday we’re over 100 and provided the arch support my feet need. I normally wear a 12 but needed a 12 1/2 for these and appreciated that I did not have to jump up to a 13 as with some manufacturers. These replaced my Nike Trail Runners which I’m still using but nearing end of life after several hundred miles of hiking and walking on them. I’m hoping these will be as long lasting as they are more comfortable but I may have to sacrifice durability, we will see. At half the cost and great fit I just ordered a second pair!

This is one of the most comfortable pair of shoes that I've ever worn! Finding a shoe that fits has always been a challenge for me since I usually need a size 16 or 17. After my son realized these shoes ran large, I thought to give a try to the maximum size available: 15. I was so surprised how the shoes felt when I first put them on. My toe was not pressing into the end and it seemed like the shoe had been custom designed to fit my narrow foot perfectly! I loved how light the shoe felt and wore them around the house several evenings to break them in. This past weekend, I finally had a chance to walk a nature trail in Pisgah National Forest and these shoes performed admirably. I love them so much that I ordered a second pair to ensure that I'll have several years of comfort in my future!

Bought these for my adult son and another for me. We hiked Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and all the trails in between. We did 40 miles in a week and these shoes were amazing. My son and I both said we’ve never had a more comfortable shoe hold up so well, and provide so much support, no matter the terrain. The cleats were just enough to provide stability and traction on the hikes, but not too much for the in between walks on pavement. Now my wife is getting a pair… Highly recommend!

Very comfortable, I can walk for miles without any issues. I tried a challenging hike with it and didn’t feel a lot of support that is why I’m not giving it a perfect score. For long walks and regular trails is perfect

I went a 1/2 size down. The ASICS makes the shoe part of my foot. I make about 2- 2 1/2 miles a night with Commissioner Gordon. Pounding the roads in the neighborhood. Hills and long gradual inclines. The bottom pattern works great for the raid and the side of road which is hard pack soul.63 years old 6’3” and trying to get down from 245 to 220lbs. Great shoe. Not the best looking but an amazingly comfortable trail running shoe. Light and lots of cushion. Size 9 is directly equal with a Nike size 9. Can’t complain

Very comfortable daily shoe. I wear a size 13m and it fits and feels great.
