Used this to replace the battery holder in the electric shade in our bathroom. Prior to we could not get the shade to work and the cost to replace was way to high. After replacing and making sure contacts were both clean the shade works well. This was a great investment.

These damn thing are expensive....but you need them...and they do wear out in 3 or 4 years. I have 25 shades in myhouse. I did know this when I bought them. Great seller...fast...well packaged....I sure I'll be buying more! AAA+++

Most likely your battery wands have corroded out. I couldn't get mine apart to clean out the acid/gunk without destroying it (I tried), so had to buy these for just shy of $30. I bought 1 first to see if that was the issue for sure (knowing my 2 story blinds worked about a year or 2 ago). I was fairly certain as I used a voltmeter to check them and barely any voltage coming through w/ new batteries. Once the new one arrived, did the same and huge difference as voltage was reading correct. I climbed up 20ft in my family room and put it in... nothing. Remembered that if the wand was corroded, maybe the connections were too. Took some sand paper and sanded down the connections on the unit itself. Boom, immediately started working. So here I am, ordered a 2nd one for the other window. This wand was an easy fix for some ridiculously expensive blinds that haven't worked for some time.

Item arrived in a sealed, labelled original Hunter-Douglas bag and is identical to the tube that needed replacement due to corrosion on the terminals from a leaky battery.

These have been discontinued for over 10 years by Hunter Douglas. About 5 years ago, one no longer worked and the local company sold me their last one for $10. This time, I paid over $70. It was worth it, I guess, because I needed it, and it works perfectly.

Hunter Douglas sold these wands for $10.00. I last purchased one from this seller at $29.00 and then $47.95. Now they're selling for over a 110% markup at $119.00. I'm all for sellers making a profit but this is ridiculous! If I could have found the wand somewhere else, I wouldn't have purchased this one. Good for Hunter Douglas, I guess, as now we're considering purchasing new shades.

I went to a blinds store, and they wanted $75.00 for 2 battery packs that are made differently now by hunter Douglas . they don't even fit inside the blinds mechanics, you have to attach a new bulky one outside the blinds mechanism. buy here
