Roadside Flashing Flares Safety Warning Light Emergency LED Strobe Light with Magnetic Base Vehicle and Marine (Amber)

Good magnet, nice and bright, worked as emergency taillight to improve visibility of trailer

We are conducting a nightjar (birds active at night) survey. For our safety on the side of the road we are using this light on flash mode along with our 4 ways. It’s bright and does the job. Super easy to use, the magnetic bottom hold secure to the top of the vehicle.

The only drawback is the mounting. The magnet is way to weak. I mounted 4 more round button sized magnets on the back and then placed it on my truck bed extender after giving it the shake test. Even with all these extra magnets seems it may still slide off surface if you hit a large pothole but I am going to use it this way and hope for the best. While much stronger it could still use some help.In Ohio if you have a load say of lumber sticking out more than 4 feet from the bed of your truck you need a flag during daylight hours but at night between sunset and sunrise it calls for a red light or lantern" visible from 500 feet away from back and sides. So I screwed up and bought an amber one..lol

They work good as long as you keep the seal in place. If you do that they last.

I bought very similar lights to these 10 years ago in red and they worked great - stayed on the car (driving the tree home) at expressway speed and I had no worries because of the strength of the magnet.THESE are NOT the same. The first set I ordered the on/off switch on one of the light wasn't properly attached so that one was useless.Called amazon and another set was sent out.THAT set got here today. TWO of the magnets were not attached on the inside. After a lot of work I managed to get them to stay where they were supposed to (every time I tried to put the light together the magent would jump out of it's holder and attached to the battery.The third one seemed OK....until putting IT together the weather seal gasket fell off and I had to string THAT back up.Finally, NONE of these, first set or second, had the magnetic power the ones a year ago. I'd be doubtful about this holding in a strong wind and would never trust them on my car driving as I was able to do with the ones from 10 years ago.I thought these would all be the same as they look the same, obviously the build quality is down on them now.Stay away from them - too many problem.

First off, the battery compartment is too tight. It takes 4 AAA's. You have to really stuff the batteries in and hope they stay put. Even then, one will always be forced out by the remaining 3. The compartment is 1mm too small. After fussing to get the batteries to mostly stay in place long enough to close the unit, the light output is terrible! I only saw *one* LED it the center. In the event you had to pull over during the day in a low visibility area, and you used these, they can *not* be seen in full daylight. The settings are, (always on) bright, (always on) brighter, slow flash, and off. The flash mode is *not* a strobe. My opinion is that the slow flash pattern is too slow for fast traffic. The flashes are only in 1 second intervals. When you realize how slow that really is in for an emergency situation, you'll look for a better grade hazard pod light. Even on the 'brightest' setting, this pod still does not deliver.Lastly, the magnet is on the inside of the shell, and isn't strong enough once the batteries are installed.I had high hopes for these lights. Not everything that is inexpensive is junk. But these are.

Good quality and effective magnets to attach to your vehicle. I recommend.
