This garden kneeling stool is very easy to put together, but once assembled, it’s not very stable. I have a thick cushion that I use for kneeling outdoors, but I thought this unit would better serve my purpose and also allow me to sit while gardening. It does do that by simply turning the seat over, but when trying to get back up from either position, the curved support bars wobble. They’re not steady even on concrete, and even worse on natural ground. Tools like these are supposed to be an aid, but this one is so precarious when trying to get back up from kneeling/sitting that I would recommend it only for those with very good balance. It does nicely fold flat by gripping the side spring rods and pushing legs inward. Even so, I use extreme caution every time I’m using this stool, and that’s not a good feeling while participating in such a relaxing hobby. I've also found my old thick cushion offers better knee support than the hard padding on this stool.

I purchased this item with not too high of expectations as I just wanted something to use when needed. Kneeling pads were just not going to cut it anymore, I needed a stool. Well this item gives you the option for both! I felt like it was sturdy, easy to assemble and well worth the price which wasn't too bad either. I had the option to send back and purchase something cheaper but why when I was already happy with this one and there are no guarentees that the others would work as well. I highly recommend! Fantastic garden stool, makes my life so much easier not having to kneel on the hard ground. You can use it either way and the height for kneeling is perfect. Height for sitting is also quite nice. The pads are comfortable to use for hours. It goes together quickly and is very easy to fold flat when done. Make sure to be sitting or kneeling on it in the middle, if you put too much weight forward it can tip over. I'm about 150lbs and no issues and it does not feel flimsy in anyway. Love it!
