These brake caliper hooks are nice and strong that they hold a brake caliper without any issues. The coating on the hooks I got were yellow, the coating was even on the tips of the metal hooks, the tips also have rubber covers to provide protection so that the hook doesn’t scratch the parts being hung on it. I choose yellow because I want the hooks to be as visible as possible. The coating on the hooks make it easier to clean the grease and grime off of them after I’ve finished my brake job. I also found these hooks to be helpful in holding wire looms out of the way when working on the rear side of a transverse engine. There are many uses these hooks can be used such as holding components such as an AC compressor or alternator out of the way, I’m sure others will find other uses so these hooks are versatile. Overall I’m happy with these coated hooks, these are very versatile and can be handy for more than just brakes. Get a set or two, these can come in handy in many auto or household projects.

When replacing rotors in the past, I've often tried to hang the brake calipers with wire, or balance them precariously on the edge of suspension components. Of course, it could damage the brake lines if they fell. Happily, these hooks are in inexpensive solution to keep the calipers safely suspended and out of the way.Despite their thin appearance, they are extremely heavy-duty and have no flex whatsoever. They are well-designed - even the rubber tips will keep them from scratching any threaded bolt holes or powder coated finishes. I also like the bright yellow finish for extra visibility. Recommended!
