Longman Student Grammar of Spoken and Written English

I need this book for the final stage of my degree with the Open University. For any advanced students this is an invaluable resource whatever you are doing.

Couldn't have got through my English grammar course without this. It enables you to understand the use of English in great depths and get to the bottom of understanding why some things are said.

As this is a 'reader' for the Open University course E303 it isn't a book that you sit down and read like a novel. I have only glanced at the contents so far as I don't need to reference it just yet but having completed several O.U. courses in the past I have no doubt that the book will be well suited to the task. All I can say at this time is that it was delivered within the timescale stated, was well packaged and in excellent condition.

Up to date reference book. Good for all levels of English instruction. Recommended for teachers and students. A plus for anyone's library.

Great book filled with basics and also indepth information. I use it for my degree in english lit. Its a life saver.

This is the set text for an Open University course that starts in September. It looks scary but I am sure it will make sense by next summer. At least I hope so!!

Comprehensive, but very dull.
