The strips are very easy to use but some of the readings are very difficult to interpret, especially the water hardness one. I wouldn't buy them again.

Perfect for the job

The kit did not distinguish between hard water softened water nor drinking water. I used a different tester for each and they all looked the same.

Our Victorian home still has some lead pipework in it, and we've been using filtration to remove any possible traces of heavy metals from our drinking water. However, I wanted to know if the lead was actually getting through to the taps, or if in fact there was a build-up of calcium in the pipes protecting us.You put the tests in a glass of water for two seconds and wiggle them about, then hold then horizontally for 30 seconds before comparing to the chart of the resealable bag. Thankfully for us, we don't have lead in our drinking water, and it's interesting to see some of the other things going on in our pipes. I did a couple of tests, just to be sure, and they read the same way. Having 50 tests might be a bit excessive though.

I tested filtered water, tap water and bottled water and they all gave exactly the same results so Im not sure it works.

Got these to check water quality for what water filter was needed.The strips match up to what levels the local water authorities say, and to what an electronic tds meter says.Super handy to have on hand for periodic checks. Or when traveling if you are worried about the water quality.The bag is good quality thick plastic foil bag and reseals easily. The strips were also recently manufactured and have a good long expiry date on them.

These seem to be pool strips just relabelled as drinking water. The issue here is the tolerances for each requirement.
