These are insanely good, I can't believe how cheap they are for the quality! The hair straighteners/curlers come in a reasonably sturdy cardboard box. An instruction leaflet is provided that is fairly brief, but it covers the functionality and is adequate for what is a fairly simple appliance. Construction seems robust with metallized highlights for the power button and end cap adding a certain amount of style, though the overall appearance probably tends more towards functional than chic.Operation of the straighteners is simple: a long press of the power button turns the straighteners on/off, and when on short presses of the power button cycles the temperature from 140 – 220°C in 20°C steps according to hair type. The straighteners are quick to heat up, typically taking around 30 seconds for the temperature to stabilize. A slight smell of burning was noticed on initial turn-on (the instructions mentioned that this was likely), though it quickly disappeared after a few uses. Opening the clamp is a one-handed operation. Although it requires a reasonably firm press of your thumb, I think it should be achievable by most people, though the elderly or infirm may struggle.I’m not sure if the heating plates are coated in a transparent ceramic or if they are just well polished, but they allow the hair to slide easily through the straighteners without any snagging. The plates have some red (infra-red?) lights inset into them. The manufacturer claims they enable better absorption of hair care products, though in my limited use so far, I can’t really provide any evidence to confirm this. There is also a button that blows air through some vents on the body of the curlers. This is supposed to aid in the ease of styling the hair, making it cool faster. Again, I can’t really claim that this is the case, but it is certainly true that the curlers work well.Overall, these seem to be a decent set of straighteners. Perhaps not the fanciest out there, but they do the job well, operation is simple, and the price is reasonable providing they prove to have a decent lifetime.

The media could not be loaded. I tried to give this 2-stars, but as my husband said, they got the absolute basics wrong. Unless you’re looking for a hand, wrist and forearm workout every time you use this and risk not being able to complete your whole hairstyle, then maybe I would go with this styler. Really bummed because I was super excited, particularly with a discount.
