The Unseen Lusitania: The Ship in Rare Illustrations Hardcover – Illustrated, 2 Feb. 2015

This book contains many relative obscure photographs of the Lusitania and some not so well known information. The details about the ships design are very interesting and give an insight into the philosophy of the designers of the time. One slight downside was the comparatively small use of photographs from the wreck - some more would have been welcome. This book is definitely recommended to any naval historian!

Excellent illustrations of striking clarity, accompanied by a very informative text. The author clearly knows nearly every nut and bolt of this fine transatlantic liner.

Bought as a present and found very interesting

Another great book by Mr. Sauder - both these two new books that have come out to acknowledge the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the "Lusitania" - and it's a great effort - I think there were only two photographs in the book that I had seen before - which shows the extent of the collections that have gone into this book - I've been around for many years and have read just about everything on this ship - but just the amount of unseen photos is astounding - unlike the other books in this series - this one really has the "unseen" photos of the ship - the author did a great job and if you're interested in ocean liners or the "Lusitania" herself - it's a "must have".

Eric Sauder does it again with a stunning volume consisting of some exceptionally rare, uncommon and some familiar views of Cunard's empress. Detailed story and captions, Eric takes the reader on a voyage on the liner and at times the background to the image and story. If you have an interest in Lusitania., her career and tragic loss, you have to make room for this book on your shelf.

Another triumph for Eric Sauder, This book is a must have for any maritime enthusiast. The book is clean, crisp and packed with never seen before images and information. The book is excellently researched and presented. You will want to pick this book and read copver to cover over and over again.
