This is nothing more than a piece of aluminum 1x2 tube with sandpaper glued to it. The sandpaper is extremely difficult to get off (they must have applied extra glue) which makes changing the paper a massive pain. I knew this tool would not meet my standards for quality, but I bought it with the intention of flattening it on my granite surface plate and thus making it a very accurate tool for applying fall away at the ends of fretboards. However after trying to remove the sandpaper, I regretted buying it. Don't get me wrong, this tool is fine for the average person to quickly level a couple of frets (it's very small) but for those looking for serious tool purchases the paper is a pain to remove and you will need to flatten it before it's worth your time.

Because it's small, it makes it hard to over-sand your frets. I think this is the number 1 concern if you lack experience, like me. So it's a bit more work, but it's better to start out slow until you get a feel for sanding frets. If you go too far, you just destroyed the guitar.

Works as expected. Reading reviews here, I noticed a few about length—wanting something longer. You don’t need that, as you’re usually working a few frets at a time. Replacing sand paper was also an issue mentioned. You can glue new paper over the old sheet, or remove the plastic end caps, soak the old paper off, and replace with new after it’s dry. All in all a very good tool.

Get what you pay for I guess, doesn’t last long.

I've used this to level the frets on three guitars. It works well for the job.

Item worked as advertised. I leveled a few frets on my guitar. Still need to know where I can purchase replacement sandpaper for the block.

The quality of this product is very low. Will not last more than one light use.It is also very short, and does not cover more than 5 frets on the lower frets of 25.5" scale guitars.The sandpaper cannot be removed easily, and is a pain with the amount of glue the applied under it. Making it a one-time use tool that for the price is unacceptable.

basically a piece of aluminum quite small. could make 3 for the same price. not really worth it.
