I liked that this was a compact and useful tool to add to my coffee station. Really - it protects my counter and it’s made really well (thick) too. I really don’t think this hobby needs to be expensive and this was the most affordable option. I’ve used it for a few weeks now and it’s doing its job. It has held up to washing just fine too. Unless you love to spend money, this really is as fancy as this tool needs to be.

It's very thin. The advertised thickness appears to be correct, but 0.3 cm is quite thin in real use.I would not want to hit a metal object on this when the mat is sitting on a hard surface like a granite countertop. It does not seem like it would hold up to that regularly.It's very inexpensive, however, so it's hard to fault it too much. It does match the description even if it is not impressive when you actually have it in hand.

This is a thick silicone mat that sits on the edge of your counter, with a divet built in for resting the portafilter of your espresso machine while you tamp the coffee. Best thing about it (apart from it doing the job well) was the price--it was under $3.00 ! I bought a relatively inexpensive espresso machine few months ago, and didn't know I needed this until I had used the machine many times. It makes the process so much easier.

It's a great mat and is totally worth the price. Makes tamping my bottomless portafillter easier. It's also easier to clean.

For the price you really can’t beat it! Has a weird smell but clean it (obviously don’t be dirty 🤭) a few times and let it air out and it’ll be gone! Wish it came in other colors but can’t go wrong with a sleek black!

I have a really small area for my espresso machine and accessories so this works perfect for me! It’s easy to clean and keeps coffee from being all over my cabinet.
