Absolutely worthless
Absolutely worthless. They show you a proposed city walk but almost nothing about the sights you might see. They show photos with no descriptions. They mix discussions of Malaysia, Brunei, and Singapore assuming the reader is visiting all three. Some of the print is micro-knat-sized.

A great guide but….
Toured in Singapore and Maiaysia Oct 2025. Guidebook is real good but hotels are skewed towards budget ones. We prefer 5-star and it’s anathema to Lonely Planet which initially geared guidebooks to students/budget travelers decades ago have improved greatly

have been using LP for many years. Although I miss the in-depth introduction to the country, I appreciate the new format. It is concise yet slick, and reducing the accommodations section makes sense since most people probably rely on online tools now.
