Compact field dressing
Arrived very promptly. Pad size 15cm x 18cm with a 15cm x 1m approx elasticated-stretch bandage attached. The tail end of the bandage has a full width velcro-style strip with a peel off cover. The dressing is folded into double sealed package measuring 15cm x 9cm x 1.5cm - long shelf life at 4 years. If you're looking for a low bulk dressing this is probably what you're after Outer package is opened by tearing a small pre cut slit which is very difficult to see, might be worth highlighting that with a sharpie The ad is a little enthusiastic but accurate: this does not contain any haemostatic blood clotting agent, it is a simple absorbent pad with an efficient gentle-firm pressure bandage but it does just meet the strict definition of haemostatic - 'can be used a tourniquet' well, yes it can, although the super stretchy bandage would make this function awkward, I guess my sock could equally meet both criteria. The over-selling nature of the ad (probably something to attract people using specific search terms) should not detract from a low bulk, compact, efficient basic dressing

Does exactly what it says
As a responder on a call late at night and I am called to a tourniqueted patient with a major bleed on the leg. Rural area Paramedic crew is 40 minutes away. We are in serious trouble. On goes the dressing and pressure on top is held by the elasticity and we are within timescal to release the tournique. Here we go..... It does exactly what it says. Keeps good pressure on and stopped the bleed. And someone is walking proof that this clever design does work when you need it. The Velcro fastening removes the need for 3 hands. Cheaper trauma dressings are available This works and can be trusted. Whats a few pence when it can save a life

Not a haemostatic dressing
This is advertised as haemostatic dressing. It is not. There is no mention on the packaging of it being haemostatic
