Get ready for the tingles!
That One Touch by Carrie Elks - The Heartbreak Brothers (Next Generation Book 2)🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Single dad Presley Hartson dedicates his life to his daughter Delilah. Her wellbeing and happiness are all he cares about so between caring for her and working hard at his construction business, Presley doesn’t the time or inclination for relationships. After an accident ends Cassie Simons dream career, she moves to Hartson’s Creek hoping for a fresh start. Teaching children to dance wasn’t what she ever thought she’d be doing but she is grateful for the distraction whilst she is deciding what she wants to do for the rest of her life. The pair clash after Presley is late to pick up his daughter one evening and Cassie calls him out for his tardiness. Despite his initial attraction to Delilah’s teacher, Presley resents any criticism of his parenting skills and makes his displeasure clear. When Cassie decides to audition for a local band she has no idea that her pupil’s handsome but grumpy father will be there, but as they start rehearsals sparks start to fly and they soon realise they can’t ignore their mutual attraction. When Cassie is offered the opportunity of a lifetime their lives are turned upside down. Struggling with their personal issues the pair try to find a way forward. Should she grab her chance in the limelight and risk losing Presley and her new life? Can Presley overcome his guilty past and set her free? Nothing is ever easy when love’s on the line…..This book, THIS BOOK! At this point I have to point out that I have read the original Heartbreak series which do introduce you to some of the characters in this book, however this book can be read as a stand alone. You don’t need to have read any of the other books in the series to thoroughly understand and enjoy this story, but in all honesty I HIGHLY recommend reading them all!Ms Elks has the ability to write stories that draw you in, making you emotionally invest in her characters and cheer them along. As a single parent myself I felt she really expressed Presleys emotions, concerns and worries very knowledgeably without making him overly sweet. The book had just the right mix of angst, romance, backstory and sexy times. She writes believable scenarios, allowing her characters to tell their stories without bias, letting the reader work through their own feelings. Her characters have flaws, like real life, they’re not perfect.Reading one of Ms Elks books is akin to wrapping yourself up in a fluffy blanket and snuggling up in front of the fire with a warm mug of hot chocolate. You never want it to end.I highly recommend this book.

WOW. This is simply gorgeous!
This beautifully written romance is a breath of fresh air. Drawn into it from the first page to the last this is an absolutely bewitching story of a single dad, A six year old daughter and a former ballet dancer. Great humour (both adult and six year old!) combined with a deep electrifying attraction make this a great read - so you know what you need to do! LOVED THIS. ⚡💕💘💞 Another cracker Ms Elks!

I couldn’t put this down ❤️
This is the second book in the Heartbreak brothers next generation series. Having loved all the previous books I was very much looking forward to this.Don’t worry no spoilers but this follows Presley ( Gray and Maddie’s twin son) who is a widower with a small girl called Delilah and his story with Cassie. I was hooked from the start and loved the story - it had all the humour and family that you come to expect. It also told a wonderful tale about the two MCs- it’s is heartwarming, emotional and full of all the feels. If a story could be a hug then this is it. Carrie always delivers with these gorgeous small town romances. I Couldn’t put it down and can’t wait for Marley’s story next.Loved it

I. Loved. It.
Oh my god, what an incredible addition to this series! I loved the Heartbreak Brothers and I love getting to know their kids. Pres and Cassie are an amazing couple, you can feel their every, you can feel their chemistry, it's magic. Add in little Delilah, stuffed giraffes and a wonderful family and you've got a book that kept me glued to my reader from the first page to the last. I loved every single page of it, I loved hearing about Chairs again and, well, I simply loved this book. Which I finished around 2am last night, sigh. Time to go back and dive again into the Heartbreak Brothers' books and, of course, Michael's book, That One Regret.

This book ties with my favorite book Carrie ever wrote. A MUST READ
I never thought Carrie could write a book that I could love as much as The Heartbreak Brothers Series book 1 "Take me Home". It has been my favorite that I have read more times than I can count. This book has matched it. I can see myself reading this one again and again too. It hooked me right away and gripped on to my heart and stayed there until the end. I smiled, laughed and even cried for happy and sad moments. It really shows you how great the right love can be and how you can be part of a loving awesome family without sharing any DNA. This is part of a series but could be read alone and you still could follow along as if this was not. Oh and at the end make sure to click for the bonus epilogue. It is just about the happiest ending I have ever read.

Swoony Presley Hartson!
The Heartbreak Brothers next generation goes beyond my wildest expectations. The first series is one of my favorites, so I wondered how the "kids" would surpass their parents. But after reading That One Touch, I can wholeheartedly say Carrie Elks outdid herself.Tattooed and grumpy, Presley Hartson is swoony. There is no better word to describe him. He is one of Gray and Maddie's twins. Now very much grown up, he runs a successful construction business and is a single dad to the adorable six-year-old Delilah. There is nothing he wouldn't do for his daughter, especially since his wife died in a car accident three years ago.Cassie Simons is the new dance teacher at Hartson Creek. She just moved from NYC, where she was a ballerina until an accident shattered her professional dreams. Her first encounter with Press is a disaster as she scolds him for being the unreliable dad who forgets to pick up his daughter after dance class. They dislike each other, but the joke is on them. Guess who auditions to join Presley and his brother Marley's band? Yeap, Cassie is the best keyboard player and the most talented singer they could hope for. And her chemistry with Presley shines the more they rehearse.Carrie Elks is a master of crafting the perfect falling-in-love journey. Cassie and Presley's relationship evolves naturally, even amid their unresolved issues. They love passionately and hard, becoming a family in front of everyone's eyes.Seeing Maddie and Gray as grandparents was a real treat. Maddie is even funnier as an older woman. It feels incredible to be back, and I can't wait to discover the stories of the other Hartson "children."
