Yuck - this looks bad, just like saw dust, no flavor at all, looks and smells old. I would not buy this again.

I used to mix up my own mate' chai blend, which I really liked, but it was a pain to do. This chai blend is every bit as good as what I made myself without all the effort. I brew it with some stevia leaves for sweetness and find it delightful! Yum!

I ordered this product because I love chai tea and the ingredients list indicated a seemingly authentic and nice blend of spices. However, upon the receipt of the product, none of the spices listed were detectable, either visibly or by smell. I wrote the company directly asking if perhaps the incorrect product was sent (e.g. their original, plain yerba mate) but have received no response. I advise against ordering this product because the product label does not match the package content.

If your inroduction to yerbe mate was from Brazil, you will probably not consider this a suitable substitute.
