A toy or a real tool?
There are quite a lot of budget ratchet wrenches available and if only getting occasional use then why spend a lot, however I chose Ingco because I have some of their other tools and delighted with them for quality, specifications and great value for money. I was just going to get a bare bones ratchet wrench with no battery etc. as I already had them, but for not much more I could get a lighter 2 Ah battery and second charger along with the carry case making the kit much better value. I am not disappointed I chose this Ingco ratchet wrench kit.(Edit- There is now a kit version with 2 extra batteries - November 2024)Ingco has been around a while now and is well established in many countries worldwide and so whilst maybe not very well known in the UK yet, they are an established brand and not one which is here today and gone tomorrow and are not just rebadging some generic cheap and poorly made product. This is excellent value for money as this tool is not cheaply made and performs really well. I particularly like the variable speed which makes it much more controllable with the slowest speed plenty slow enough. It is variable up to about half speed and then selects full speed. At first I thought I did not like this characteristic but you get used to it really quick. When the bolt or nut is tight the motor shuts off automatically. The LED light only comes on when the motor operates and off immediately when the motor stops. It would have been nice if it had a delayed 'off' as then might be more useful, and also a larger LED with a bit more light, but it is still useful in a dark corner. The casing is really strong and with the wrench being quite large it is bulky to use but then great for those tighter bolts to loosen with hand power and then let the motor take over.It comes in quite a large storage case with the depth of the case being way overkill but suspect the manufacture does not want to produce a shallower case. It has so much dead space below the vacuum formed tray I can see people very quickly throwing the tray away and just putting the wrench in loose along with other tools and sockets.I want to now concentrate on what a lot of people want, not my opinion but facts and one thing I can post is some photos of what is inside this tool. Pictures do not lie! Most people will not care, but I know there are some out there who like me want to see what the build is actually like under the covers. You will see in the pictures how nice the mouldings are with plenty of strength. It is better than what I have seen on many other premium or mid brands. It is streets ahead of other budget tools I have seen pictures of being torn down. The motor seems to be fairly standard and well made. The trigger control switch is made by Jlevel and they are a respected switch supplier for many tools. It is not some cheap cloned copy. The electronic control PCB has a conformal coating to seal out moisture and stop any dirt shorting it out. It is also well made and there are electric noise filters on the power cables which you do not normally get in budget tools. I like the gear reduction being in its own little gearbox module and not integrated in the end of the motor or the ratchet head. The 2 Ah Battery is respectable as well. It uses HighStar ISR18650–2000 cells (5 X 2 Ah) which are used in many power tools and are respected battery cells. They are 30 Amp rated 2 Amp hour cells. The battery control board is well made and sealed and includes contacts for temperature and direct battery voltage monitoring while charging. The Battery charger gives the impression of being cheaply made, which is common for a lot of these chargers even from other established brands, but it is not bad and much better than many and certainly better than most which come with cheap budget power tools. It has the circuitry to monitor the battery temperature and battery voltage without the voltage drop in the charging wires which many cheap chargers do not have.Downside like most brands, the batteries are only for Ingco tools but are compatible with 100s of tools they make and they seem to have some nice power tools not least a range of impact wrenches, this ratchet wrench and from inspection lamps to cooling fans.Am I pleased with this ratchet wrench? - you bet I am, Its really is well made and although a bit noisy when running fast it is not uncommon for cheaper power ratchets and this one is most certainly not cheaply made.

Actually rather impressed
So I brought the 500nm impactor from ingco the other week and thought it was brilliant and because of that I started looking at other tools they sold and come across this and for the money though I'd give it a try and to be honest it's a handy bit of kit used it to change steering damper and thermostat on a 110 landrover and it did it all with ease even with rusted boltsNext purchase I believe will have to be a grinder from here

Impressive cordless ratchet.
The media could not be loaded. I think for £69.99 it's very good value for this cordless ratchet wrench. There's ones out there way more expensive than this one and there's no difference on performance. The cordless ratchet itself is solid, very well made, easy and comfortable to hold.It comes with one battery, one battery charger and three sockets. It also comes in a solid plastic carry case with a handle for carrying and proper protective storage.I'd have preferred two batteries with it, so if one has ran out, you're able to get another one out of the case, I'm not going to let that affect my rating though because I'm impressed with this item.

For the price, it’s very good
My OH was intending to buy a much more expensive set and is overall really pleased with this one. It is not going to impress a serious mechanic but is perfectly adequate for home DIY or amateur car repairs. The case looks and feels cheap and yet it’s great to have a storage case rather than it just arriving in a cardboard box.The mains charger for the battery feels really cheap like a toy and yet it works perfectly! The ratchet itself is weighty and feels sturdy and works really well. It has a built in light and a safety lock and the amount of power/torque it gives out is depndent on how hard you press. Overall, considering the price, 10/10
