Must buy for dashcam owners
Pretty awesome, I don't know why I never thought of getting one of these before. I've had a dash for over a year now and the suction cup recently gave up. Cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and it started to stick to the glass properly again, however I stumbled across this one day and knew that this would be a much better option than using a suction cup or adhesive.Reasons not not to use the suction cup: They lose suction after awhile.Reason not to use glue strips: they leave nasty adhesive on your windshield which may be hard to remove. This mount kit provides a good amount of adjustability and accessibility to your dashcam. there are multiple connections to connect to all different types of dashcams. The only issue i had was the fact that you really have to get up and close to your mirror to connect everything, so if you have a tightly spaced car you might have a little trouble, the job could be done a lot quicker with two people.

Perfect solution for my DOD-LS470W in a 2010 Honda Odyssey van
I bought a DOD TECH DOD-LS470W LS Sony Exmor Powered Full HD Dash Camera with WDR Technology & GPS Logging and loved it, but didn't like the mounting alternatives in my 2010 Honda Odyssey. The suction cup wouldn't stick where I wanted to put it because of a grid on the windshield, and it was in my line of sight where it would work. I didn't want to commit to the adhesive sticker, so I used a beanbag base on my dash, and attached the camera to it with the suction cup. It's didn't "feel" right to me.I went to the vendor's website and thought their mirror mount might be perfect. The only problem was that it was $30 or so, and it wouldn't ship for one to two months. An Amazon search to me to this product, which appeared to be nearly the same thing as the vendor was selling, and "if you order within 2 minutes," you could have it tomorrow. It was also about a third the cost of the OEM.I pushed the BUY button, never dreaming that it would actually be delivered in Swampeast Missouri the next day. Indeed, it DID show up as promised. The mount came with attachments for just about anything you could imagine, including a 1/4x20 bolt. A video I watched was correct: you want to lay everything out in advance so you don't get confused. It's pretty simple to dope out once you figure out which base fits your camera. The only thing that didn't come with the product was a third hand to help you fit it, a silicone spacer and two long screws with wingnuts around the mirror. I managed to drop the bleeping wingnut four times, and was surprised that it didn't bounce somewhere in the bowels of my van, but all finally went well.I had a moment of panic when I couldn't get my mirror to adjust right, but I loosened the wingnuts, slid the camera mount a minuscule closer to the windshield and locked it down again. This time, I got normal range of motion of the mirror. The camera is rock-solid and hardly noticeable after the first few miles. It's not very visible from the outside of the car, and it's not going to fall in my lap. I don't give many products five stars, but this one is worth it. Good price and good solution. For the record, I paid full price for it, so my opinion is more than unbiased.UPDATE: the mount is approaching two years of rock-solid use. It's one of those things that was truly install and forget. I haven't had to change a single thing about it since the original installation. DOD TECH DOD-LS470W LS Sony Exmor Powered Full HD Dash Camera with WDR Technology & GPS Logging

Solid mount
Replaced suction mount that was failing. Simple install, stays in place with rough roads.
