I got these 40 watt G9 bulbs for a ceiling light in our guest bedroom which has a dimmer switch. I would normally use LED bulbs, but since this light will be used infrequently these halogen bulbs will be fine. They were packed individually in small boxes, but when I took one of them out part of the glass near to the connectors broke off, although the bulb still worked, the other bulbs seemed to be fine though.Our ceiling light takes four G9 bulbs and when installed, they worked perfectly giving a warm white light and dimmed without flicker.

These are supplied with individual boxes and no additional padding such as a bubble wrap sleeve. The glass envelope is substantially similar to others we have in a fitting inside a chandelier. Fitting bulbs for this is tricky, with a bulb being held in grippers with a long handle of a few inches, and can be impossible if bulbs don't fit easily. Thankfully these went in without issue though. In use the colour temperature and brightness is the same as others we have, so they blend in fine. Being halogen, dimming is no issue. So based on initial use at least, these fit the bill fine and represent good value.
