Great looking watch – just a couple of things to not
Really pleased overall with the GM-5600U-1ER. It’s a great-looking G-Shock and feels solid and well built on the wrist. The metal case gives it a more premium feel compared to the standard resin versions, and face-on it has a clean, understated matte look. There are a couple of caveats worth mentioning. The negative display is quite dark indoors. It’s still readable, but you do need decent light. Outdoors it’s absolutely fine and much clearer, so it’s just something to bear in mind if you’re mostly inside. Also, while the bezel looks matte from the front, the silver sections around the sides are very shiny – more polished than I expected. Not a deal-breaker, but it does give it a slightly flashier edge profile than the face suggests. Overall though, I still really like the look and feel of it. A stylish, tough everyday watch with that classic square G-Shock appeal.
