Back to the future trilogy is fantastic!
Great value with decent video quality. This is exactly how I remember my childhood with these classic movies and all of the drama and suspense of a trilogy series that gripped all of us in the 1980s and 90s. Must add for your movie collection!

Excellent Blu-ray trilogy set with lots of extras!
Excellent Blu-ray movie trilogy set. I bought the 'Ultimate' version because it sold for the best price. The first movie is the best and the last movie is next best. The extra features include informative interviews with the director, producers, and main actors (but not Crispin Glover). There was no problem with the digital movie code. The disc case needed a little work. The discs weren't locked in when I opened the case and they all fell out. I was able to lock them in securely by pressing the discs into place around the center hole until I heard it click.

Great scott!
All sorts of nostalgia in these films. Perfect for anybody looking to make sure they can own this great trilogy. Could never find it on any streaming service for a reasonable price. Kudos to this one for making it affordable.

Great repackaging, and some new extras that may or may not suit your fancy.
What can I say about Back to the Future that hasn't been said.Well not much.If you've seen these films before, you know what your getting. If you haven't, you're in for a wild ride. Not quite science fiction, not quite teen comity, not quite an action film, though it does have lots of that in various forms, , but every bit the buddy films, these three films tell a continuous story without any major time skips to speak of.I won't focus on the story, special effects or the soundtrack, because they're all great, barring a few shortcomings with the minor characters.Everything and everyone does what they need to, serves its purpose and exists to tell a gripping story.Instead, I'll focus on what sets this collection apart from the two, well three others that came before it.In 2002, a three disc dvd collection was released, and in 2011, a 3 disc blue-ray collection was released. These are the same exact compilations of material, just with the movies in high definition the second time around. Both these sets had unique packaging for the time they were released. The dvd was pretty standard with all three discs in a hard plastic case with a slipcover. No real issues to speak of.The blue-ray came in a unique case that held the discs so well I folded each disc completely in half to get it out more than once.Amazingly, they didn't brake or stop playing. In 2015, a third blue-ray set was released in an experimental bookbinding case that left a lot to be desired. It contained the same three blue-rays from the 2011 release with an extra disc mainly focused around the year 2015, two episodes from the cartoon, and yet another making of the first film called looking back to the future.I've owned all of these sets, and I can tell you that this ultimate trilogy set beats them all.For starters, the packaging is an actual blue-ray case with a slipcover.Yes, a hard, plastic case, with storage trays. No sliding discs around slippery book pages to get them in and out, just normal storage trays that work.Speaking of packaging, that's mainly what this set has going for it.Not just in the physical sense, but in the digital sense as well. All 4 discs sport the same menu presentation, right down to the updated universal logo that opens each disc. All three films have the same audio and subtitle options from the previous blue-ray releases, and contain all extras in the same places you remember, barring a new play all option at the top of each film's extras menu. This play all feature also runs after the film has played. The fourth disc contains almost an hour of new extra features at the top of the extras menu before presenting all the stuff from the 2015 release. So, should you buy this?If you want new packaging and almost an hour of new extras, yes.If you already own the films on dvd or blue-ray and don't mind weird packaging, then probably stick with what you have.If you're blind; like me, and want an audio description track, sadly, it's not here.Though it should be. if it exists for all three films, it really should have been included. An extra 2.0 audio track doesn't take that much space...Come on universal, get with it!

Looks great on an OLED
I replaced my 5 year old LG CX OLED TV with a new C5 a few weeks ago, and wanted to get a few movies to really get a chance to enjoy the upgrade. The sound on this is outstanding. I have an Atmos 7.2 layout and even just the music during the credits at the end was more amazingly spaced and positioned than I had ever heard before.Visually is is also impressive. Great sharpness, bright and dark very clear and well done with the OLED technology. For the price, I consider it a steal.

Won't play on my LG DVD/Blu-ray player.
4-stars may not be fair. These are good movies. The reason I'm giving this only 4 stars is because of the disk formatting, not the movies. I bought this boxed set in March, 2025. The disks will not play on my LG DVD/Blu-ray player. I get a "check disk" error and the player ejects the disks. Now this is an old DVD/Blu-ray player. However, this is a new phenomena. I have a fairly extensive library of both DVDs and Blu-ray disks and all the DVDs play fine. The older Blu-ray formatted disks play too. But of late, some of the newer Blu-ray disks won't. They must be doing something different with the Blu-ray formatting now. They WILL play on my Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 so I'm keeping the product.
