This product is absolutely fantastic! It's so simple yet so effective at signalling while underwater to grab the attention of divers when you can't hand signal to them. If they are swimming away from you and you need to get their attention, just shake really hard, and it will provide an acoustic rattle that can be picked up underwater, which makes your teammates turn around and see what you want.It's essentially just an aluminium tube with a magnet at the top and a ball bearing inside.You turn it upside down so the ball bearing sticks at the top, and you can tip it up and down without the ball bearing making noise.But when you shake it really hard, the ball bearing dislodges from the magnet at the top, which then provides the rattle.To stop it from rattling, gently tip it up so that the ball bearing sticks to the magnet at the top.This is a well-thought -out safety device! is a great tool to have in your arsenal while scuba diving, and this product could potentially save your life one day.Brilliant product. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This shaker is loud. You will have no problem getting your buddy's attention or using as recall for a group.The rattle (a ball I think) is magnetic and so stays in place until you shake it so you're not rattling around as you dive or on the boat/shore.The unit is sealed so there's no risk of water entering the device and damping it.The loop is too small to fit over my gloved hand but provides just about enough length to attach to a loop inside the pocket of a BCD. That said, I'd want it more accesible on a D ring on my shoulder which would mean finding a solution to keep it tucked out of the way.My biggest issue is that the price is, I feel, excessive for the solution. I think using the metal base of my knife and rapping it against my cylinder achieves the same result from an audio perspective so I probably wouldn't buy this although I think it's a great product otherwise.

The shaker is well packaged, and as always with Cressi the product feels very high quality, the rattle is very loud, given that sound travels further underwater, it will be more than audible at depth.Overall its just what I was hoping for, I'm looking forward to trying it on a dive when the weather gets warmer, and I'm happy to recommend it.
