I ordered two sizes. A 7 and an 8 based on others reviews and my son is growing out of his 7.5 shoes. The 7s were too small and the 8s a little big but he managed. They are very good quality, surviving a river, been left in the garden for two days and still manage to look new. I bought a different pair of beach/water shoes for a previous trip last year and these are much nicer material and nicer sole. Very happy with the purchase and if he only gets to use them just this once then for the price I am happy and I will just donate if his feet grow again.

My partner and I needed a pair of water shoes each for our holiday to Jamaica, and after reading around, decided on a pair of these. I bought the mens and got the womens for my partner. On reading other reviews, general advice was to size down despite the "fit" showing as true to size by majority vote. It was either that or go by the actual "length" measurements... I'm a size 8 in trainers, size 8 in "most" shoes, size 7 in some shoes, and 7 in most Skechers. In order to get a size that fit me well close enough, I had to drop down to a size 6 in the mans water shoe. I initially tried a 7 and they were like boats on me. Even the 6 is slightly too large in all dimensions, but it's the smallest mans size they had. I added a better insole with more padding and shape, and that with the toggle meant they fit pretty snug. My partner is a 7 in almost everything, and she also sized down on general advice. Hers were initially too tight, so she needed a 7, which fit her perfectly. With next day delivery and free returns, it's not too much of an issue, but is a bit of a hassle. Do yourself a favour, measure both feet, take the largest measurement, and go with whatever is closest to their measurement chart. If slap bang in the middle, size up as you can always tighten them with the toggle. Ignore the UK sizes because being made in China, Quality Control isn't always top of the agenda.

I am afraid it is too early to really give a proper review, as I have only had them a couple of weeks and I prefer to visit the beach when it is far warmer than January and February. We live on the South coast of England, whose beaches are filled with pebbles, having cut her foot exiting the sea my wife purchased an overpriced poorly made pair of beach shoes from the beach kiosk which failed within four days of use. So over winter whilst on offer we have purchased a different brand of beach shoe for each member of the family to see which one is best. The Aqua Shield I purchased for myself, they are very comfortable to wear and appear to be well made. I usually take a size 9 1/2 or euro 43 shoe but the size nine I ordered fit perfectly. I picked the Aqua shield because they looked like a plimsole even with the yellow stripes they do not stand out to much, unlike the gregariously coloured Hot Tuna and Gul beach shoes my wife and daughter chose. I will provide an update to how they stand the test of time.

Very comfortable great for walking in the water but not for swimming, the shoe's pull cord doesn't stay tight in the water and there for it kicks off when trying to swim with these shoes also the shoe is super soft and on the large side and so i should of gone smaller then they would be a better fit. I still use these to go to the beach because they are easy to clean and can easily wash the sand out of.

Bought these for my husband and I to go sea swimming in. They were great, you can see some wear on the bottom but would be ok for a few more holidays. We each bought our normal shoe sizes and they fit ok. The toggle worked well at tightening them if needed. They have a net top which can let fine sand in, but not enough to cause discomfort as water goes in too and washes it off. Really pleased with these.

I'm quite pleased with the quality of the product.

These are light weight so go in the beach bag easily. They take a little while to dry off but can wrap them in a towel for the journey home. The sole is grippy and at first I thought I would still feel the pebbles through it, but your feet are perfectly comfy when you walk on the shingle. Got in and out of the waves and swam in the sea easily. The shoes are a tiny bit wide and long but the drawstring secures them. Order your normal size.
