The Road to You: A Lesbian Romance Novel

Sometimes roads are long and winding and other times, short and straight. Fortunately for us, who love Harper's writings, this road is not short and there's no straight about it either. Katherine and Ali couldn't be more different and right from the start everything about the other rankles. As college students, Katherine is hard-working, determined, striving to be perfect. Wealthy and privileged Alison is just out for a good time. One act by Alison ensures that neither girl will forget the other. Their paths cross from time to time but it's not until their respective best friends hook up that the dynamic changes. Katherine's life is not quite so perfect and Alison is not quite the wastrel she was. Time goes by and time goes by and you, dear reader, will wish that they could see what is becoming so obvious to the rest. A satisfying slow burn, indeed, but with some sizzling moments and a fiery end.As always, beautifully presented, written, edited and proof-read by the inimitable Harper Bliss. Another one to add to my favourite book collection. Five stars.

For me this book took the first half to get going, the jumping between the characters point of view and the time shifts meant I had to pay close attention! But the second half I loved.

This is the first book I’ve read from Harper Bliss, and it definitely won’t be my last! I loved it so much. They way it's written, the beautiful story line, and the characters you can picture perfectly. Certainly rereading this in the future.

How does Harper do it? Every book I read of her's never disappoints - they are always interesting, never formulaic (albeit with the expected HEA) and just such good reads. Clearly, HB is amongst the best lesfic writers.

Brilliant, This was set over a period of years, with many other people popping in and out of the relationship between the two main characters, just what you would expect from Harper, full of twists and turns and FINALLY the best ending in the world, I loved this book and just couldn't put it down it kept me up all night as I just had to finish it. Well done

Beautiful story which follows the path of the two main characters towards the passing years. How many times their lives mixed and came close but finally the opposite attraction is major with a happy and.

Once again Harper Bliss has held my interest from the first to last page. Ali and Kat a story of two people with a mutual dislike for one another when they were young. Will they get along when they meet years later. Read this book and see, you won't be disappointed.

This is an angst filled, slow burn romance with main characters Katherine and Alison (Ali) only thing is they don't realize it. The author includes well written supporting characters that ably add to the storyline. My peeve is the swift ending with the two leads suddenly in love. Katherine's turn about just didn't feel right. However, Ali's angst and torment with the situation rang true. Overall, a fair read. I re-read sections before writing my review but still can only give 2.5 stars.

I don‘t know how she‘s doing it, but every book of Harper Bliss I‘m reading I can‘t stop. She has a way of writing that takes you into the story so you can‘t put the book away. This story is going for a long timeframe, but it makes Ali and Katherine only worth the wait. And absolutely great book.

Have read a couple of books by Harper and this one is as good as the others.Ali and Katherine worked well together.

Excellent as ever from Harper Bliss, she can do no wrong. One of my favourite Lesfic authors.

The Road to You by Harper Bliss is a beautiful love story. It is sweet, very enjoyable and incredibly entertaining. The characters in this story, Alison West and Katherine Shepherd, are polar opposites and although their paths cross on several occasions during their life a relationship is definitely not in the cards. But life isn’t always predictable and at the end they slowly grow towards each other. Will they ever fall in love?Harper's stories always come off very realistic to me. Her books are always well written and enjoyable.If you are looking for a light read for your next holiday or a relaxing weekend at home, this one is definitely not going to disappoint you.Thank you Harper for another well written love story!

This was my first book from this author but I doubt very much it will be my last. I found the characters to be engaging and likable and the story progressed at a good pace.Katherine Sheppard and Allison West were destined to find each other and the author does an admirable job of keeping us guessing how and when that is going to happen. That in itself is a great selling point for the story. I was also engaged by the secondary characters in the book, Grace and Anna, and was very glad that the friendships that mean so much to the main characters were not given short shrift by the author.A lovely romance for anyone who wants to escape the real world for a little while.

I continue to love Harper's books. This story is wonderful and proves that you can't fight fate. You can't fight love either. It will make you appreciate & respect your friendships more. We try to control our destiny far too often but this story proves, what is mean to be will be!The book is down right hilarious at times. Have you every felt strongly for someone and tried to push them out of your mind? They are hard to shake!! You'll experience an array of emotions reading this, mostly love!

I enjoyed the story. The main characters first build a solid friendship before they ventured into something deeper. It took a long time before they actually starts a friendship. The love scenes are like in the authors other books very descriptive & leave nothing to the imagination. The author writes good & her work is well editted. I recommend the book for readers who like a long build-up towards romance

I never wanted this book to end. I love the way Harper went about writing this book. It doesn’t jump straight into the main characters meeting and falling in love like most other stories. It is perfectly paced over a span of time before the two come to realize the chemistry between them. On top of that she writes from two POV so you get both sides to this love story. I hope there is a part two because I really do love this book.

This is one of the most wonderful and romantic book I ever read. I usually get annoyed by everlasting build ups. So I got this book already thinking i would have to skip the annoying parts. That was far from the truth, I was in for a treat! The characters were so believable and perfect for each other and the road to each other so masterfully crafted that getting there was a truly enjoyed ride!!!

This is well written. It's a slow burner that takes you through time with the two main characters. This is worth reading. I love it and you will too. One thing I love is the author doesn't stop the story once the two main character get together, she takes it further into their twist and gives you a satisfying bliss. This is one the best books I've read from Harper Bliss and it compels me to read more of her work, though I have read three of her published works previously.

This has it all; French lessons, break ups, betrayal, blackmail, a Christmas party, a little white lie, lovers to friends and friends to lovers. The road to her was very long and bumpy. I'm glad that I was with them on this road. A great read and definitely recommended.
