Waterproof and comfortable, Salomon makes great shoes that fit me well

I've owned at least eight to ten different Salomon trail running shoes in the past ten years.. About six years ago my knees gave out (I'm seventy). I've been walking and have been through four different "Sense Ride" styles and had been pretty happy with them, until their latest version. I bought a pair of Sense ride 5's here and was very disappointed. Couldn't wear them. All the other Sense Ride versions I'd bought directly from Salomon and they were great right out of the box. The ones I bought from Amazon (same size) hurt my feet so badly I couldn't wear them. Naturally I was very skeptical about buying any more Salomon shoes from Amazon. You always worry about fakes. However I took a chance on the Speed Cross Peak water-proof shoes and am glad I did. Like genuine Salomon's they were great right out of the box. Because my yard goes down to the beach and has some uneven areas I wear them taking the dogs out back. They are extremely well made, supportive, with great traction. And we're even on sale! Although since I now walk primarily on pavement so we'll see how long the more aggressive tread lasts. But for now I'm extremely happy and would recommend. They are sharp looking, very light-weight and well made. My faith has been renewed however the Sense-ride style has gone off the deep end.

Great shoe im size 12.5 wider foot and I bought 13 as I usually do and they fit perfect. I added some aftermarket insoles and again great shoe very comfortable. My only complaint I didnt realize these didnt have laces, they have the thin whatever u call it. Im just not used to it so it is a little awkward. I prefer laces but these work well and so forth

Good cushioning. True to size but a little tight in the toes box. I’m right on the line between regular shoes and a wide shoe - it’s hit and miss. This one is a miss

This is a good shoe by all standards. Will buy again

The elastic band that holds the quick-lace is so loose that the lace just flops around on the left shoe. The right shoe is tight and fine.

Not bad, fit is a tad narrower and the sole/tread is stiffer, but that was the reason i bought them. The latest Speedcrosses use a much softer rubber that wears out WAY too quickly. It’s a cheaper version of the Speedcross.After wearing them a couple days I have returned to downgrade my review. These are just CHEAPER quality. They are much narrower than the Speedcross, the design is not as elegant and just clunkier feeling (materials, more of a rounder look, bad fit).I would NOT purchase these again. Not worth the cost savings.

I have a lot is Salomon’s in different styles and models. But these are the best as far as durability cushioning and fit.They feel like the Adidas ultra boost but way better .

I’m using it for hiking and use it for daily and it’s very comfortable
