Would have been nice if the right color selected came. With that said, this is at least as good as the Dow Corning version that I was use to using for the last 30 years, but cheaper. Time will tell if it holds up to UV, extreme temperatures, and constant moisture. You better use what you have once you've started, since there's no means to easily recap and seal the tip after the initial cut and open.

I waited about half a year to review this. When I received the tube, it was 2 days until the printed expiration date. Pretty shady. Didn't kill the deal for me as I needed it immediately for a project. Product skins VERY quickly...like 2 minutes or less and at that point its skinned enough you're not gonna get a nice finish if you're planning to smooth it over. All of that being said, it DID do what it was supposed to, and thus far, no leaks. Stop shipping out expired or almost expired product and this might have been a 4 star review.

Sets extremely quickly - tried to reseal an aquarium and the product would have worked wonderfully had I moved lightning fast...which I thought I was but apparently not fast enough.

If you are building an aquarium or a sump for a custom setup this is THE STUFF to use. Highly regarded in aquarium building industry as the go to adhesive. This is for bonding glass to glass, please do not use this to try and bond acrylic panels into a glass sump. Silicone / RTV does not bond to acrylic, period. If you use this the way it is meant to be used, you will be very happy with the results.

Convenient to work with, good adhesion, but seems to cause oxydation (rust) on the surface of steel, when applied to it. This is the first time we have used it and have only limited experience. Can anything be done to prevent this? Some surface treatment prior to the application of the silicone?
