Great gel, you get 250ml in the pot, works well as a massage gel after exercise and provides a cooling sensation. Highly recommended.

Good first impressions, the box and tub decoration looks like a decent quality item. There's a removeable protective seal under the main lid. With the seal removed the gel smells quite strongly of menthol (think tunes menthol or fishermans friend sweets), not a bad thing I guess but it is quite strong.The texture is quite gloopy and not particularly pleasant to touch, a bit like wallpaper paste.Application is quite easy a little glob goes a reasonably long way.The tub got delivered after I had spent the day hand mixing mortar for laying a few paving slabs so ideal for seeing if it helped my aching arms.When I first put it on I feared it wouldn't soak in easily and may be a little greasy, but it does soak in ok and doesn't not leave a sticky or greasy residue.Once you've applied it and its soaked in after a minute or two you start to get a slight heating/burning sensation, not particularly strongly, but I was glad I only put a small amount on. If you've ever used deep-heat or ralgex then this is similar but a much less potent feeling of local heating.I didn't have any ill effects the next day, only slight aching in my arms, no idea if this helped but it was not unpleasent use.The point of getting this was for my wife to try it for her localised nagging joint pain (from rheumatoid arthritis). She will try any remedy to see if she gets pain relief from it.She's used it twice now and although after the first try she wasn't sure it was doing anything (although it did feel 'different'), today she's reported that it does give some small relief for 2-3 hours.No idea of its other benefits but neither of us have had any reaction or rash etc. Averagely priced I would say. Four stars.

While this gel arrived in an unsealed box, I was glad to find that the tub itself had a tamper proof seal.The 250 ml content's texture is like a low strength hair gel/mousse but when applied to the skin, it absorbs quite well with no greasy/sticky residue.The most noticeable feature is the strong smell of menthol with traces of aloe vera and peppermint which I personally find refreshing.Upon applying this gel to aching muscles before going to bed, I could feel the soothing heat.Importantly, I did not observe any allergic reaction on my skin after several days’ of trial application.While I cannot quantify the hemp content, I find this gel has a soothing effect.

This is a big pot of gel which feels like a hair gel consistency.It is a little sticky to apply, and does leave your skin tingling / feeling cold.But, beyond that, I didn't notice any difference on aching legs.

For something marketed as 'hemp gel', I'd have expected this product to have more of it as an active ingredient. Instead, the hemp seed oil is quite far down the list - after the emuslifiers, in fact.Reading the ingredients list, I can see that after water, the main constituents are actually menthol and aloe vera, so would it not be more accurate to state this is a menthol & aloe gel with added hemp seed oil?There are also mint and rosemary oils but I suspect that they are there for their scent, rather than for any efficacious use.In my experience of using this gel, yes there is some tingling, and mild (but short-lived) relief from post-gardening aching muscles but I'm pretty sure that's from the menthol, and not the hemp seed oil.Some people have commented on the strange texture of this product - my facial day cream is actually a gel, which is more or less the same consinstency and feel as this product, so I don't find it at all odd. In fact, I really like the lightness of it, how easily it's absorbed into my skin, and the fact that it doesn't feel greasy.Overall, despite the dubious hemp claims, I do find this gel to be marginally effective, and a very good price for the size of tub (currently £10.99 / 250ml).

Be careful you don't get this on sensitive skin areas, because it's quite potent! It definitely gives my skin a strong warming effect, and it reminds me somewhat of a gloopy version of VapoRub, the claggy Vaseline based stuff my mum used to slather on me as a kid. This product is equally good at clearing your nasal passages and surrounding you with a strong aroma of menthol.Does this provide relief from muscle pains? Yes, in the sense that it provides a not wholly unpleasant distraction, and the placebo effect always kicks in too with these kinds of product. It's definitely nicer to use than greasier versions, and it absorbs well into my skin. Hemp is mentioned prominently, and it's tempting to read into that certain attributes that probably don't actually apply. As far as I can tell, it's the menthol and peppermint oils that make the difference.A little goes a long way with this product, so it's actually quite good value for money. Also it's made in Germany rather than the Far East, so I'm much more inclined to trust the contents, considering the far stricter quality and safety regulations under which it has been manufactured. So it earns a five star rating from me.

It's runnier than I expected and there is very little hemp content.It does get absorbed easily in the skin, does give a warming sensation and some apparent muscle relief, but do not apply before going out. People wonder where the smell is coming from. It is over-powering for yourself on applying it. It's like turbo charged Vicks. My eyes were watering at the aroma the heat of the skin causes to evaporate and it cleared my nasal passages.The main warming comes from the menthol and peppermint additives, and the skin soothing is good old aloe vera. Not sure the effect of hemp oil on the skin, but there is very little in the gel by proportion.

No es que esté mal, pero para una crema que se llama "gel de cáñamo" me esperaba que utilizara principios activos del mismo. En su lugar, sólo llega una pequeña cantidad de aceite de cáñamo, que aparece en el listado por detrás de los emulsionantes ya indicados.Dicho esto, el principio activo es el mentol, que ya se utiliza en muchas cremas como el Vaporub mismamente. La verdad es que no funciona mal; además de proporcionar un frescor intenso, el mentol tiene propiedades atenuantes del color y del picor. Como peros, cabe señalar que puede ser irritante y contribuir a la sequedad de la piel.La crema tiene una textura de gel muy reconocible si alguna vez has trabajado con goma xantana; es decir, tiene esa textura de gel algo elástico y gelatinoso a la vez. Diría que algunos ingredientes como la hydroxyethylcellulose dejan un residuo sobre la piel en forma de bolitas, así que ojo si utilizas la crema con prendas oscuras.Actualización: Tras cerca de seis meses, he notado pequeños hilos en la crema que se deshacen al tocarlos. Questo prodotto non è totalmente malvagio , qualcosina fa, ma ne utilizzavo uno di un altro brand con più o meno la stessa formula e lo trovavo più efficace . Infatti , soffrendo spesso di dolori muscolari. Dopo l'attività fisica , ho deciso di metterlo alla prova , e per quanto mi abbia dato sollievo non mi ha entusiasmato . Ho quindi poi utilizzato nuovamente quello che utilizzavo prima ed il sollievo è stato decisamente Maggiore... Peccato
