Great buy
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love this little light! I love to read and my book lights kept dying. This little light clipped on to the small table next to the couch and didn't take up too much space like traditional lamps.

GOOD LITTLE LIGHT / SMALL ANNOYANCES
This is a good little light for illuminating a small restricted area, such as would be needed by a single person reading. However there are two points by which it could be distinctly improved. The power button for actually turning on the light after it is clamped in a place and plugged in is on a cord that would typically dangle a couple of feet below the light itself. So, for example, if it were clamped on a bedside table, a reader in bed would have to reach over the side and near the bottom of the mattress to fish around for the switch.Secondly, and somewhat annoyingly, the stalk/tube that actually supports the light module itself is AT LEAST 3 TIMES TOO LIMP TO RELIABLY HOLD A CHOSEN LIGHTING POSITION after setting it. It often will just drift down and away from where it has been placed.

Perfect accessory when moderate light is needed without taking up space!
Perfect size for rolling cart!! The surface must have about 2 inch edge so the clip on light can attach and it needs usb plug but lamp is not gawdy or overt. Light options are not exceptionally bright. It's perfect for adjusting to desirable height or viewing area. would recommend!

Floppy neck good light
The light coming out of this lamp is really good, 3 colors, different levels of brightness, very good. But it's 3 stars as I bought it for the long neck and no matter how I adjust it the neck just falls over and it flops onto whatever surface is nearby

Limited usage, fragile, and... just odd.
I just wanted a little lamp for my headboard... I'm super light sensitive due to chronic migraines that can last up to a month or more on top of having very little space for a table lamp. That being said, this clip-on lamp, is about as bare bones as you can get.It DOES have what they say it does... but they leave quite a bit out. The color tones of light work, the dimmer works, the clamp works, the gooseneck is very flexible, but it's all a ''just barely'' situation where you feel like you're making concessions to NOT be grumpy about it. The bigger things that bug me on this are:The plug and adapter: Plugging this into a wall outlet, if you don't get lucky enough to get the 90 degree adapter (like me), it sticks out a little over 4'' from the wall. Mine goes behind my bed and headboard, so that's a big oops. The cord is REALLY short. Around 4' long. Just going from my headboard to the plug in directly below it, there's maybe 3'' of slack. This is REALLY SMALL! While it is small, it does light a SMALL area really well for what it is, though it is 100% diffused lighting, meaning no concentrated area with a frosted lens. The gooseneck is really flexible, but unfortunately, if you are trying to clip this on vertically, it's NEVER going to sit the way you want it to. The lamp's own weight (which is really nothing at all) is going to pull it downward. This is really only meant to be used with a horizontal position of the clamp. The clamp is really odd... It pinches well at the VERY tip and has a non-marring rubber-y pad, but the depth of the clamp is right at 1'' deep. For my headboard having a decorative edge that is sloped, I can barely get this to bite. 1'' is about the max for the clamp jaw width as well, so if anything you are going to use this on takes more than 1'' to get to a flat, solid, horizontal bite, you're going to feel a little taken on this one.The gooseneck is nearly in the center of the clamp, so if you need to clamp this on vertically instead of horizontally, you're going to lose a LOT of length by trying to just get the gooseneck to go upwards, bending it 90 degrees up, then another 90 degrees down to aim the lamp at whatever you're doing, and again, the weight of the lamp itself, drags the gooseneck downwards. The control is really tiny, and is in line on the cord, but it's oddly almost 2' down from the lamp itself, putting it literally in the middle of the cord, which is all manner of ''Huh, well... that's awkward.''I can't really be nasty about it, it does what they say it WILL do, but it doesn't do it sustainably or comfortably, and they leave a lot of these little ''um, we could do better, but... why bother'' issues out. This would be something you'd give a kid to clip onto their desk so they didn't ruin your nice lamps, or something you'd toss in your camping gear and use twice a year. Everyday use, it's not going to last long on it's own, and it probably won't survive you being frustrated that it popped off your headboard at 3am and scared the hell out of everyone while you screamed them awake, or the gooseneck folded down while you were sleeping and landed in your face, so you beat it to death like it was a giant spider before you realized what it actually was...All in all, it's a ''meh, kinda wished I didn't, but since I did, I guess we'll see how long it survives'' purchase.Add to that it took almost 2 weeks for this to even be shipped and on it's way... My brow has been furrowed for a while now, no wonder I get migraines! Good luck folks!
