Perfect for my new humidor

Just received this product today and tried to set up for use. Couldn't separate the top section (control box) from the bottom section (reservoir), so I can't even say if it would work properly or not. Tried calling Cigars International, since they fulfilled the order, and after an exhausting amount of time, with some poor girl who was obviously left to fend for herself, told me and I quote, "since you bought it through Amazon, you'll have to have Amazon assist you." I explained to her, that I didn't want to return the unit, I could easily do that, I was asking for just looking for some support get the unit going & working. I asked her if there was anyone there who could help me, and she said someone would call me back in 1 minute. Doubt that is going to happen, so I'm going to try one more time & re-order a new unit and return this one as defective. What a pain in the A$$! Worst customer service for just some basic support. What a shame! I have an account with CI, and have purchased cigars from them in the past, but will be rethinking that as well. Very disappointed.

This model keeps my larger humidor well-humidified and keeps the refills down to every couple of weeks in the winter!I love the remote, which I moved up to the top shelf of my humidor, which is about eye level. The humidifier itself is down below waist level, and keeps the entire humidifier nicely regulated. I have several LCD and mechanical hygrometers scattered on the 6 shelves and they say its all good! This thing is at least 8x bigger than the small desktop humidor size models (in volume), so it is a much more serious machine. It wouldn't keep a walk-in humidor well, but it definitely covers a large cabinet humidor well. One negative - the reservoir has to totally slide the entire length of the top cover/electronics to remove it, and that makes it a little difficult to slot back on. Nothing you can't handle, but it's something you should know. The smaller models only need the reservoir moved about 1.5" to remove them. This is more like 9".

I can fill the reservoir and leave it for a while. I check it every day but it is running perfect.

I love the size of the reservoir. I don’t like the cheesy setup with the ribbon cable for power. You don’t have an option to operate without the ribbon cable. Who will buy a humidifier of this size for a humidor that does not have a receptacle inside. For the controls which would be nice to have on the outside to check levels without opening, it has a round chord instead of a ribbon cable. Come on, at best it should have two options, power with straight dc cable or use the ribbon cable. Power hookup is why I gave it a 3 star rating but everything else is very nice.

The alarm keeps going off. There is water but the alarm will go off at random. Product maker says to talk with Amazon, Amazon says talk to manufactor. Paid too much for no service or help. Product sucks ans so does the manufactor. DONT BUY
