Works great as expected the only issue with these converters are voltage switch sometimes faulty. It’s always best idea to buy two of them at same time. In my case the first one didn’t worked as excepted but the other one exceeding my expectations on voltage setup after having nightmares with the first. I still gives 5 stars because that switch is so tiny and it’s a tricky area where when you apply unwanted pressure on the voltage regulator screw, there might be a chance of damage happening to the voltage setup infrastructure. So it might be possible either way one from manufacture defective or got worn out due to extra pressure applied on the screw.

Being so small and compact, this converter exceeded. my expectations. Albeit waterproof, I wouldn't feel quite right placing in an ultra wet location without some degree of protection, but that's just me, I'm probably a bit too cautious.I tested the unit and works extremely well, quite accurate and doesn't heat up.We're using this to reduce 12 volts DC down to 8 volts DC for stage lighting, that being custom flickering candles, think Haunted Mansion. Running at the recommended 9 volts causes them to run hot and also taxes the three incandescent bulbs, so we lower the voltage to help the candles last a great deal longer.This small converter is perfect for this application, allowing us to adjust the voltage with some degree of precision.Great part!

Great product. Well made and sealed. Copper wire leads. Voltage adjustable from small brass knob at bottom.** Note that this is a buck transformer, you can only lower the output voltage, not increase it.

This item is easy to get working. Connect the input voltage, adjust the output voltage. (Using the miniature adjustment screw on the bottom of the unit.). I was able to adjust between 1.5VDC to 18+ VDC using 12.5VDC as input. It arrived with one of the mounting tabs broken off, but that didn't affect overall function, or my ability to mount the unit. Satisfied for the short term. I will have to update later if anything changes.

I worked in the electronics field for 28 years. So I know what I'm doing. This is supposed to be adjustable from 3 to 15V. I could not get more than 12V out of it using a verified 12V source. I tried several times. It goes all the way down to 0V, but will not go past 12.01V. I need 15V. Now I have to put my project on hold while I look for a product that actually works.

One broke almost immediately, not sure what happened but I can no longer adjust the voltage, other is still functioning without much use, thankfully it didn’t mess anything else up. Would probably recommend one of higher quality.
