RonsealInterior Varnish Walnut Satin 750ml

Varnish went on easily . Used on indoor window sills so time will tell how well it performs over winter. I chose the Graphite shade, which turned out to have a bluer tinge than what I was expecting so that is really my only niggle.

Excellent product

Exactly as it's says clear and matt finish. Easy to apply and drys really quick. Used to varnish some headboard made from old pallets and used maybe half off it so covering is good. Had to put two coats but in the end happy with final effect.

I fixed some broken furniture. The new wood is pale. So I chose this varnish: it says "French Oak" and the tin shows the colour I want. But when I painted it on, it was just as pale as before. So it was a waste of money.

Used on wooden countertops in kitchen. Excellent finish - semi matt/ satin - exactly as expected - and most importantly it’s dried really hard whereas other varnishes I’ve tried have become tacky/ sticky within a few weeks

Plus points1) Very easy to apply with either a roller paint brush2) Drips/runs are minimal3) Can apply multiple coats fairly quickly4) once cured, it is pretty hard/durable and scratch resistantBad points1) main one is it isn’t glossy. I purchased gloss, received “gloss” but it’s more of a semi-sheen finish. If you’re expecting a deep high gloss shine you’re not going to get it2) Needs many, many coats. I think I needed to apply 6 coats to get a finish I was happier with. This obviously means you use more than what you think you will.

On delivery tin of varnish was leaking because lid was not on correctly and fitted and held in position with sellotape.On visiting suppler Newcastle who replaced it immediately.
