Total Game-Changer for Pet Hair in the Wash
I bought the HG Pet Hair Dissolver because no matter how much I brushed or lint-rolled, my washing was still coming out full of guinea pig hair. After using this product, I can honestly say it makes a huge difference. It’s very easy to use – you just add it to the washing machine along with your normal detergent. After the wash, I noticed far less pet hair stuck to clothes, blankets, and upholstery covers, and even the inside of the machine was much cleaner. Items that used to come out covered in hair now look fresh and almost hair-free. It also prevents hair from building up inside the machine, which is something I hadn’t even thought about before. Everything feels cleaner, smells fresh, and looks better. If you have pets and are tired of constantly removing hair from clothes, this is a simple and effective solution, I’ll definitely keep this as a regular part of my laundry routine.

Doesn't work at regular temperatures
I ordered this as it seemed almost too good to bed true, but until now, I have always trusted the HG name. There is no mention on the Amazon listing or the packaging, but if you go on HG website, it says 'Best results when used at 80-90c wash temperature' As I was washing expensive cotton velvet covers for a Multiyork sofa, there was no way I was going to risk washing at higher than 40c. As expected, the result was barely noticeable. It may have got rid of some of the finer fibres, but there are still lots of cat hairs on it. As the main cover is quite large, I double-dosed, but very disappointing. It may work on things like fleece blankets that can take a boil wash, but that's not what I wanted it for. Anyway, I won't be paying extra for other products assuming they must be good if they are made by HG.

Good but not perfect
It’s good but not perfect it struggles to clear any hair on large items like duvets and even when I shake the hell out of my duvet it clears nothing and clumps in all the sticking making it unusable unless I wash it again yet it’s not doing a very good job but on small items it’s a breeze no hair at all

This does work well and reduces annoying hair in machine
Works well. Reduces annoying hair clumps in machine after pet wash. Can i also add that we get lovely lumps of hair from dear daughters room too. So I add to towels occasionally too. Time will tell if it helps with smells, maintenance etc. I will feed back regarding that. No smell to the product. No measuring spoon so be aware you will need to have a device or utensil to measure/weigh 50g. AND REDUCE SOME OF THE POWDER NORMALLY USED. I added the amount to my usual dose and I was in the kitchen on the spin cycle and witnessed the amount of suds still in the bedding. If this happens stop the machine and put it back to rinse and spin cycle and it will ensure minimal product left on bedding for your furbaby! Otherwise it did exactly what it said. No annoying hair to scoop out of the wash machine, no weird smell. 10% happy by the amount used 50g the tub will last 20-30 washes I estimate.

Dog hair dissolver
I normally purchase Vamoosh pet hair dissolver but thought I’d give this HG pet hair dissolver a try because HG is a well known brand. There is no measuring/dosage spoon. More an inconvenience than anything else. There doesn’t appear to be a smell & the powder seemed to leave no residue on my dog bed or towels. Did it dissolve the dog hair as well as the Vamoosh brand? In my opinion definitely not . There was still a lot of hair visible on both the bedding & towels(.Although there was a lot of loose hair inside the pet laundry bag which I use for every wash anyway). There was also clumps of hair inside my washing machine drum & on the door seal which I never noticed when I used the Vamoosh. When I removed the items from the wash bag my floor had a lot of dog hairs on it.just feel the HG hair dissolver didn’t actually dissolve the hair. I will try this on a higher temperature & see if it makes any difference but I’m not holding out much hope. I think it’ll be back to using my previous brand

Not great
Just not as good as Vamoosh. We’ve a lot of HG products and normally very happy with them but this pet hair dissolver just isn’t great. We followed the instructions to the letter doing the blankets on a boil wash and it does get rid of some but it isn’t as effective as Vamoosh.
