It Works!
These Touch of Grey products have been around for a long time but I had never tried it. I colored my hair for many years with a women's product but as you age it looks less and less real and 2 minutes in the floriduh sun turns it a weird shade of orange. You may have seen someone like that. This is a subtle change, don't expect lots of compliments but no one will be laughing about you behind your back. That's worth something.

Great product if you want natural look
Hubby likes just a touch of gray! Easy to use gel product...leave on longer if you want better coverage. Only complaint was that the boxes arrive crushed as they are sent in a shipping envelope and not box. Otherwise, Great price for this item. Go ahead, cover that gray!

It works, for about 2 weeks, but still, it's pretty good for what it is
I did my research before buying this product, and it's surprising there just aren't that many reviews of this stuff outside of Amazon. And here so many of the reviews are so happy and excited that I have to admit I was skeptical. This review won't be happy and excited, but I will say the product is pretty good. I have dark brown hair, with a decent amount of gray throughout, but still more brown than grey. So I bought the medium gray, since folks said to go at least a shade lighter. The first time I used it I put a decent amount on my hair, and ended up massaging it around with my hands-in-glove because the product applicator comb didn't seem to work so well with short hair. My hands worked fine. Oh, and yes, I put on a thick skin lotion around the perimeter of my hairline and it seemed to work, no spots on my face or neck. I was so slow in applying it that it clearly took more than 5 minutes. Still, when I finished and washed it out, and it dried, it was clear the gray was pretty much gone, and now turned a shade of lighter brown if you inspected it closely. I thought it looked good. And it certainly did not turn all my hair dark brown. But within a week I was noticing the gray hairs a lot more, even though they were still light brown, and by two weeks it seemed gray again. Hardly the 4-6 weeks people talk about. So the next time I tried it I applied more of the coloring than I did the first time. This time, I went even more slowly so the stuff stayed on a good long time. I think that this time the gray was darker than the first time. Keep in mind, while I have a lot of gray if you look up close, my dark hair still outnumbers my gray by a lot. So I can't say how shocking the difference would be for someone with more gray than dark. For me, the dye worked but was not a shocking difference, it wasn't too much. This time it lasted a good 2 weeks, and now when I look in the mirror the gray seems to be a very light brown, almost like highlights when looking close up. But you can see it, a lot of it, and I suspect in a few days it will start really looking gray again. Also, keep in mind that I've been washing my hair every other day to try to protect the color. And it still is noticeably gone in 2 weeks. Now, years ago I had asked my hair cutter how much it cost etc to try to get rid of the gray. She told me something like $60 a session, instead of the $20 I pay for a cut, and that I'd have to get it done every 6 weeks, because your hair grows and th new gray would show. So with this stuff I need to do it every 2 to 3 weeks instead of every 6. And I'm paying a lot less. Not a bad deal. Next time I'm going to use the dark brown version and see if that makes any difference in terms of the look, but also in terms of how long it takes before I notice a lot of the gray being a light brown and noticeable. What I did not find was that this darkened my hair too much. No way. And I left it on long past 5 minutes. But I have very dark brown hair, and more brown than gray. Maybe for others it would be a stark difference if they had a lot more gray. And even when I put a LOT on my hair the second time around, I still had a lot left in the tube - people are right, use it carefully and you'll easily get 3 uses out of one bottle with short guy's hair. I'll update this review after I try the darker color in the next week or so.

Clearly Defective Product and Unsatisfactory Manufacturer Customer Support
After a dozen Amazon orders since 2017 the most recent received last month (Aug 12) was a defective lot containing no dye just a yellow axel grease color turning all hair a dirty light gray. Called the Just for Men directly and they ask for the lot number, camouflaged on the top of the box, and more about the horrible result of using the product per directions. They would not confirm that they had calls about a bad lot, yet there are a many similar recent complaints posted on Amazon. I opened two boxes in a row with the same experience. Finally, I tried an a box remaining from the previous order that worked. Then, after 28 minutes, they said to call Amazon and speak with a live person! That was something that is now a bit of a challenge going through Chat because I received the most recent order just over 30 days ago, and still had two more boxes left. Amazon agreed and sent me a label to return the recent order, not used or failured to work.

Changed applicators
I’ve used the light brown product for many years. Works great, easy to apply. Generally I would highly recommend it. One recent problem. The box pictures a large black applicator comb, which is what is needed to comb through the hair on your head. But the most recent order I received instead has a small grey comb. Looks like the one for the beard coloring product. It’s not remotely adequate to use to color your hair. I kept the one from my previous order to use for now, and have contacted Combe about this. I am hoping this was just a temporary supply issue for them. But if they decided to supply these tiny little combs going forward be warned. You may need to apply by hand and comb through with an old fashioned pocket comb instead.
