Worked well!
We had been looking at these for a while, and took the plunge and purchased. Easy to set up, works well and isn’t noisy at all in comparison to other brands! Very happy!

The Wave-yard shift.
- Review for hygger 24/7 Mode Aquarium Wave Maker,9000LPH Fish Tank Wave Maker with Intelligent Controller, 8W Quiet Magnetic Powerhead Aquarium Circulation Pump for 380-560L Freshwater Saltwater Tanks || Price: £62.99 (at time of ordering) -I am super impressed with this wave maker. It's small, well made and beautifully designed; very modern and stylish with a high quality magnetic fixture. The rubber buffers protect the glass from scratches and presumedly reduce noise - this thing is ridiculously quiet! By far the quietest aquarium gadget I've come across, you can barely tell it's on. This scores big points with me, I find the sound of constant humming and water dripping rather crazy-making (I should caveat, it was my partners idea to get a fish tank. Now we have three...)He was somewhat skeptical at the idea of needing this for a freshwater tank, but the moving water does wonders for keeping the glass, gravel, rocks and driftwood clear of algae. It is a notable difference. This means we can get away with smaller and even slightly less frequent water changes in our 120L tank. The fish seem happier too - our corries are having particular fun 'riding the waves'. It is a delight to witness! It comes with a control panel that enables you to customise a range of settings like flow rate and power, including a scheduling function that automatically adjusts to your chosen settings over four time slots (dawn, noon, sunset, night). It also has a feeding function that turns off waves for ten minutes, before resuming your programmed settings. Annoyingly you can't program this function into the schedule, so it's only useful if you manually feed.If it had this feature and perhaps a bit more flexibility in positioning the water flow I would gladly give it five stars. It is fantastically quiet and otherwise brilliant, recommended.

Lethal to fish and cleanup crew
Edit* having used this for a number of weeks now, it has claimed the lives of 3 crabs, 2 snails and more recently my six line wrasse. This was not supplied with the foam barrier as shown, and is not fit for purpose without significant improvements to live stock protection. There is too much room at the back of the unit for livestock to get sucked in. Very disappointed to have lost fish to a device supposed to help them thrive! Avoid at all costs and get something else.I'm always on the lookout for quality equipment at reasonable prices, and the Hygger wave maker certainly delivers on both fronts. After replacing a similar unit from another brand, I was pleasantly surprised by the Hygger's performance. Not only is it quieter, but it also provides a much more powerful water movement, even in my 120-liter marine tank.I particularly appreciate the sleek and modern design, which adds a touch of elegance to my tank setup. The twin blades contribute to a smoother water flow, creating a more natural environment for my aquatic creatures to thrive. However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks worth mentioning. Firstly, the adjustment angle is somewhat limited, which can make positioning the wave maker a bit less flexible compared to other models. Additionally, I encountered an issue with snails and crabs getting stuck in the fan at the back of the unit. It would be beneficial for Hygger to include some sort of grid to prevent this from happening in the future.Overall, despite these minor issues, I'm highly satisfied with the Hygger wave maker, especially considering its affordable price point. Id give it 4 - 5 stars if the minor faults were rectified.

Very impressed
Pros:- first off, it's so quiet that when I plugged it in I was trying to work out how to turn it on. However it was on!!- the magnetic mount fitting is brilliant. Works well (up to 15mm thick glass) and doesn't scratch your tank. There's also no risk of this falling down like there is with some suction mounts.- a wide range of settings which can be changed easily via the control panel- feed button which turns off wave maker for 10 minutes- really well made and feels premium quality. For example, the magnetic mounts have a dampening rubber on them, which I assume is to reduce noise/vibration through the glass of the tank.Cons:- none, although an companion phone app may be a good feature to have instead of the control panel.I hope you find this review helpful.

Bringing the ocean home
The introduction of this wave maker into my aquarium setup brought an unexpected vibrancy to my underwater world. Observing my fish navigate the currents, much like they would in their natural habitat, added a new layer of engagement for both me and them. The quiet operation was a bonus, maintaining a peaceful environment around the clock. The versatility of the controller allowed for customized aquatic scenarios, enriching the overall ecosystem within the tank. Installation was straightforward, thanks to the magnetic holder, enabling quick adjustments and optimal positioning. It's become an indispensable tool in simulating a more dynamic and naturalistic water movement for my aquatic friends.
