Good quality, have used for a couple years but suddenly my cats do not want to eat it. Finicky.

Perfect texture, my cats love the many flavors offered in pate. It’s expensive, but an excellent source of quality food.

The first time I fed my cats this, they seemed to enjoy it. I like to keep a variety of brands/flavors on rotation for them, since they seem to get bored of wet food if they get the same flavor every day. I occasionally fed them one of these cans every few days, and noticed my older cat throwing up a lot and my younger cat began gagging at the sight of all wet food and running away at the sound of a can popping open (very new behavior). I started noticing an awful smell, like something had died, in our storage room. I couldn't figure it out for several days until I noticed it was coming from these cans. Lo and behold, I noticed that almost all the cans on the bottom of the stack were dented up, with one can busted open leaking disgusting rotten juice everywhere. Right then I had to throw away half of this pack because it had been soaking in disgusting rot. Wasted $$. I saved some of the top cans, thinking those should be okay, but my younger cat still refuses those, though my older cat does still eat it. However, I quickly realized that my older cat was vomiting every time he ate this, even from the non-dented cans. I lost a lot of money on all these wasted cans, and a lot of time cleaning up cat vomit from all over the house!

Great quality wet cat food for the price. It does contain guar gum as a thickener which is not good for cats (or any living creature) but if you rotate your foods, Dave's is fine to add to rotation. All other ingredients are great! If you want a healthy cat, cut out dry food.

Great ingredients but the cat didn't like it, so I'm feeding it to the dogs. They are less fussy. I've tried EVERY brand in two pet stores. Not fish, she won't touch that. She won't eat pate and the one and only shredded that she will eat costs $30 and it only lasts six days - SIX DAYS. I thought I would try this. So back she goes on dry food only, plus a bit of chicken when I preparing it for the dogs. I wish she would eat this because cats need wet food. At least it isn't going to waste - the dogs love it.

My cat can't eat anything with fish he has hyper thyroid disease. This food is way to expensive on top of having to pay for his meds now I am paying for this. But luckily he likes it so that the price I have to pay 😞

Cats would not eat any of the 3 varieties I bought.

The food is great, but the packaging leaves a lot to be desired, and that is split between the producer and Amazon. I buy the large cans in cases of 12 (I have 4 cats), and many times the cans are dented - and the dents are usually not on the outer side of the wrapped case but on the inner sides or inner cans you can't see until you unwrap the case, so that's happening at the producer, or at least the packager. I've only had to discard 2 cans for ruptured seals on the lids, out of maybe 60-75 cases, so not terrible but not very confidence-inspiring. The other issue is that these cases are HEAVY, and now that Amazon has gone to the lighter, eco-friendly boxes, sometimes the box will barely survive the trip, especially since I get several cases at a time. And sometimes the box does NOT survive the trip, and I get notified that the package is undeliverable. If Amazon would then ship out a replacement order, instead of refunding my subscribe-and-save order, that would be minorly annoying; but since they cancel and refund it, now I have to re-order everything in that box, and I don't get the subscriber discount - even though it's the fault of Amazon and/ or the shipper that the package was undeliverable. That is MAJORLY annoying. So as much as I (and my cats) like the food, and the price, I have to balance that against the true cost and the aggravation with the packaging/ delivery.
