Awkward London museum docent Steven Grant (Oscar Isaac) would come to discover the uncanny reasons for the fugues he suffered... in that his fractured psyche housed multiple personalities, including a mystic-powered avenging avatar of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu (voiced by F. Murray Abraham). He'll need to harness them to stop the machinations of cult leader Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke). Striking Disney + Marvel miniseries driven by Isaac's bravura effort also stars May Calamawy, Gaspard Ulliel.6 episodes on 2 discs. 4 3/4 hrs. Widescreen; Soundtrack; English. Review: Among the Better Post-Endgame Outings - Marvel Studios was a powerhouse in modern Hollywood since 2008's Iron Man and it consistently kept the ball rolling even up to 2019's release of Avengers: Endgame. Post-Endgame I found many of the Studio's projects to be either hit-or-miss, with a lot of their attempts to launch their lesser-known characters failing to hit the mark. Moonknight was one of the few exceptions to me. It was a well crafted series that had the perfect balance of Superhero daring-do with elements of fantasy and Egyptian mythology. I was relieved that Disney actually gave this series a physical release, and in a fancy steelbook, no less! The series looks and sounds great in hi-def, and I really hope Disney releases the rest of their Marvel and Star Wars content in some form or another on physical media. For those who love Marvel and still love to have their favorite shows and movies on their shelf, this is a worthy purchase. Review: Worth it - One of Marvel’s best, if underrated, mini series. Worth the cost of having the disc rather than stream.

Fun series with great performances.
SPOILERS: A fun but flawed series that captures the absurdity of the comic, “Moonknight” focuses on Marc Spector who works in a museum. The section he works in deals in ancient Egypt. Marc wakes up in strange places having done strange things. He discovers he has DID and has an alternate personality named Steven Grant. This leads to his life unraveling AND discovers he’s also a Superhero. He also has to stop the resurrection of an Egyptian god. END OF SPOILERS. Oscar Issac is a delight in the main role. It’s a master class 8n acting. He receives able support from F. Murray Abraham, Ethan Hawke and May Calamway. Outstanding cast all around for the series that digs into the material even elevated some of the weaker elements of the narrative. The series looks terrific with a nice looking, detailed presentations. The HDR color grading does a great job of highlighting the cinematography. Audio sounds terrific with a very active Atmos mix. There an “Assembled” 65 minute documentary on the series and a six minute featurette. A gag reel rounds out the special features with a pair of deleted scenes. Presented in a handsome steelbook with three art cards, the series is a fine romp.
