Caught 3 very fast 6 week old feral kittens from around our house and we're able to get them to a no-kill shelter where they will be adopted out. Haven't tried to cat anything very big with this net like adult feral cats or anything. This is a very nice large sturdy net, but don't think I would try anything too aggressive or angry with it. Don't want to get bite. Definitely would work for catching chickens though.

Caught two indoor fairly wild 5 year old cats and got them to the vet. Born indoors to a feral momma cat who instilled the fear of humans. So many efforts to catch the last two of six. The key was trapping them in a room with no hiding spaces. (this took planning) The extendable handle made it safer. No issues, Less than 30 minutes each. The net went into the carrier with the metal frame hanging off the outside. I removed the handle. Both kitties have been spayed and are doing well. Wish I had thought of this a couple of years ago!

Was trying to catch an injured feral cat and it worked great. I was able to catch him myself and get him to the vet.

Honestly...i run a small shelter, the net works great for catching...HOWEVER, within 3 catches for common cats..the netting has ripped in 4 places..it isnt durable at all. The metal is great.. but the netting itself isnt durable at all. Just your average size cats..some need medicine, some on the way to vet..you name it. Probably have about 3 or 4 more nettings befor its tottal trash. Not happy at all.

Had difficulty getting the pin to go down in order to attach the pole to the net. Was able to catch a 7 lb scared cat that was struggling safely without the net being damaged. Because the pin that attaches the pole to the net was so hard to push down I had to carry the cat in the net with the pole over my shoulder. Fortunately I didn't have far to go (just to another building and the catcher is very light). I also covered the net with a light blanket to calm the cat down. Not sure how I would have been able to do it if I needed to drive the cat to another location not being able to detach the pole. Overall, all worked out well.

I was able to catch my cat, let him get tired out, after which he let me put him into a kennel no problem.

Great for my animal rescues . Easy release . Haven’t used torch as do redcues in daylight mostly . Easy to carry and keep birds etc secure and safe until housed .
