Loud but worth it.
As many reviews state, it is loud, but looking at other similar trainers, they all are loud so not much you can do about it except setup in an area that won't disturb others (I work out at 4:30 in the morning) and put in some headphones. The trainer itself is great. The multiple resistance levels allow for varied workouts and it's easy to shift. The trainer is also very easy to setup. The only downside is the handle bar grip that the resistance switch comes with. It could stand to be a bit wider for handle bars. If you take the rubber padding off then it's too loose, so I just zip tied mine on. Also it's beneficial to ziptie the cord that goes from the trainer to the switch so as not to trip or get it caught in the rear wheel.

No wobble, great cardio, worth the money
Update 10/10/2025: Well, it is still a nice workout, and I'm using it at least four times a week. However, the past two sessions of 30 and 45 minutes, I noticed a lot more noise, which I tracked down to the resistance section where the tension cable goes in/out. The vibration noise is coming from within that part. Hope it isn't going to break, but will have to wear hearing protection, as it is that problematic and I have tinnitus. I will say it has over 500 miles on it so far, but was not expecting this development. Original review below: The second time was the charm. Another brand I bought here on Amazon arrived damaged. This one arrived in perfect working condition with no damage. The resistance roller assembly is packaged separately within the box, perfectly shielded in thick Styrofoam to avoid any damage in transit. The shifter works great too, and the speeds on my bike work in conjunction with the trainer's roller to ramp up the resistance much more than I'll ever use. The large handle used to engage and hold the bike in the stand is a welcome addition for my arthritic hands. It is noisy when pedaling faster, but that is expected, I just watch TV and zone out the noise. Provides great cardio that will make you sweat while using it, so have a fan and water handy (this here on Amazon works great for handlebars to hold my Rtic 28 ounce tumbler: Delta Cycle & Home Bike Cup Holder Expanding Beverage Cup Holder for Bike Handlebar - Universal Bike Drink Holder, Stroller Cup Holder, or Walker Cup Holder - Tool-Free Installation), but I used a screwdriver to really clamp it down. My 26" Jamis Hudson Sport with quick release is rock solid in the trainer with no wobble. It's well worth the money IMHO.

Great Value & Ultimately an Easy Setup
This trainer is a great value and was ultimately an easy setup. I ordered this trainer so I could get biking exercise despite weather conditions, prior to and after my knee joint replacement. Getting on and off the bike with limited ability was going to be important to me. I tried two different bikes on it. The first, an older bike that had a usable skewer (the quick connect bolt that holds the rear tire on). It fit the clamp that holds the bike to the trainer. But this bike was too awkward for me to use because the top tube of the bike was horizontal and just below the seat (the tube that would impact your crotch if you slid forward off the seat improperly). It really perched the bike and me up too high. The other bike I tried was not a step-through but did have a much lower top tube so it was much easier to mount and dismount especially because I also have a lever actuated drop seat. The initial problem was that the skewer on this older bike would not fit the trainer so I would have to replace it with the new included skewer. I was very apprehensive about this but tried it anyway and it was rediculously easy to do. The really wonderful thing about this trainer is that my bike can be put on it or detached from it in just seconds so my bike is always available whether for indoor or outdoor use. The only problem I had was that the adjustment knob was not threaded into the installed hinged bracket and it took a while for me to find what turned out to be the obvious place to thread it in, see photo. A simple bolt then attached the magnetic unit and all that remained was finding the "sweet spot" of adjustment for the tire to spin the rod. I can sense the difference in the magnetic settings and appreciate changing the resistance while using it. I haven't attached the controller to the handlebar but merely looped it over the handlebar so I can quickly take my bike off the trainer if the weather allowed outdoor biking. The only other comment I have is that, there were a number of loose parts in the box that don't seem to fit anything which was worrisome at first but did not result in any problems. I feel very secure using the trainer. You can find youtube sites to better illustrate the setup beyond the simple included instructions but you may have to work your way through quite a few in foreign languages or poor images, but eventually you can find one that helps, especially if like me, this is your first trainer.

Awesome Product
Totally happy with this product. I've ridden bikes for many years, so I was up and running in about 10 minutes. It is loud but i just turn up my music. I'm impressed with how stable it feels to ride because who wants to fall off their bike! And I weigh 250lbs..so it will probably hold you even better. Wish I had one of these way sooner because I ride almost every day and love having the results. My posture has improved just since getting it. And what's that, 2 weeks? Love it 😀

solid and easy to instal but…
very noisy. if you live in an appartement you will need to isolate the floor. My stand is at first floor of a house and the noise is very significant despite putting a special tyre and a yoga mast below.

Would be great, but turned up without quick release skewer and front wheel block.

I got to try this unit out for the first time today and am happy to report that it ticks every box concerning its design, construction and operation. When I initially assembled the unit, (which is very straight forward) I had concerns regarding the apparent lack of resistance, even when the unit was set to maximum. I still had concerns when I initially tried sitting on my bike and pedalling. However, those concerns were quickly eliminated when I geared up my bike to a higher gear combo and was immediately met with moderate to extreme resistance, more than enough for my level of fitness. I am not an extreme cyclist, but I did ride over 1200 km. this year and I feel as guy in his 70s, this unit will give me the level of winter training that am looking for. The flywheel assembly seems well made and operates smoothly. As reported in other reviews, there is a significant noise level, which increases with virtual "speed". It doesn't bother me with earbuds in, just have to get used to it. I really like how easy it is to mount my bicycle onto the frame. It comes with a replacement 5mm hub spline which only takes a minute to replace my bike's original. There is a large clamping mechanism on the frame with makes mounting pretty effortless. I also appeciate how compact and space saving the design is. It can be folded down and stored in a closet, against a wall or in a corner. I am not sure if the plastic or rubber feet would mar a vinyl or laminate floor but I operate mine on a concrete basement floor for now. I would invest in a 2 x 3 foot floor mat to protect our floor from possible damage should I choose to move it. The magnetic friction controller has six settings and clamps onto the bike handlebar. The controller clamping mechanism is the only part that I feel is flimsy and cheaply made. Having said that, it works, which is all that really matters. It would also be nice if the assembly locked open to make mounting a little easier. Regardless, I am very happy with this unit for the price and would not hesitate to recommend one.

I am recovering from total knee replacement surgery and rather than buy a static exercise bike decided to opt for this bike trainer to use with my road bike. It's been brilliant and is now an essential part of my recovery exercise regime. As we are the wrong side of winter it is great to be able to sit on my bike in my conservatory and cycle whilst it is poring with rain and blowing a gale outside! A really good buy.

with winter on its way i thought i would try out an in door turbo trainer. following investigations there are clearly products which provide more with tablet apps to provide the visual element of a ride ...however price points are v high This trainer provides a decent value for money option with 6 resistance levels - getting the right combination of bike gear setting and resistance level takes a a bit of trial and error but I have settled on a fixed gear and change the trainer resistance setting. I have this setup in the garage so noise is not a problem but have smooth road tyres and the noise level is fairly low. its obviously not as good as getting out on the road but you can still get a decent bit of excercise and work up a sweat.
