Pearl Mantels 510-48 Newport 48-Inch Fireplace Mantel Surround with Medium Density Fiberboard, White

I hired someone to come and install this because it looked like more than the hubby or I could handle, hence the lower rating on easy to install. Our handy man did a superb job with no issues. This mantle surround is an awesome bright white and the grooved lines provide visual interest. It feels sturdy and the shelf is a nice size for small photos or knickknacks.

Love the look, easy to install except for one nut to a bolt was not threaded had to make two trips to hardware store to buy a new bolt and nut. Other than that a great product.

I did a lot of search before buying this Mantel. Worth the price. Looks really nice. Easy to install. This was the only Mantel available in 51 inches (height). The Mantel as such arrived well packed and protected.I am giving 4 stars because the product do not contain L brackets (9 )and #6 1/2 inch screws (18) and 3 inch wood screws (3). Recommendation is to use 1/2 inch L bracket. But I had hard time finding them in stores. Finally picked up 3/4 inch L bracket from Lowes; put in the screws with a washer. Missing parts do not cost much, but was a hassle running through the stores, especially when you are in the middle of installation.

I love the mantle. I am a smaller sized woman and was able to assemble and install it myself. Although I had to do some of my own construction in order for it to fit my fireplace exactly, I love the end result.

IT IS JUST THE CASING TO A FIREPLACE. YOU HAVE TO BUY THE FIRE PLACE SEPERATE!!!. only good thing i can say is they let me return it with no problem

We had hard wood floors installed and thought , “the room looks amazing, but the fireplace looks plain.” So, we researched and the Pearl Mantels ranked high on the reviews. And the price for this product on Amazon was amazing!!! Highly recommend this product.

This mantel surround is really well constructed and should last a long time. It took me a few hours to get it on the wall with the header board, and the scribe moulding really helps hide the gaps behind the legs. You will need to glue or nail the legs into the wall from my opinion, but that was not too difficult. I already received many complements from how this looks.

The product is very good. Arrived 99.9% as advertised. Easy assembly and install. Damage in transport resulted in a .5" dent almost dead center on the front lip of the mantel. Easy enough to fix with some putty and sanding. But as I can't definitively say if it was damaged prior leaving the facility or in transit - I'm not giving it 5 stars.
