Great!
I’ve tried a few brands of matcha on Amazon for far and this is my favorite. Super creamy. Just bought another :)

kenko matcha <3
I have been steadily drinking lots of matcha for a good 4+ years and this matcha did not disappoint. The price was just right for the quality of matcha and the green shade is vibrant. I typically used this matcha with oatmilk, agave syrup, and cardamom--the matcha still tasted strong and creamy. Even with a good 10 seconds it dissolved easily and blended nicely. You do need to sift it first since there is a chance there may be some clumps, but it helps with the overall texture of the matcha so do it!! I personally think it's a good starter matcha for people wanting to get into it!

Perfect for everyday matcha
Look how gorgeous the color of this matcha! 4 starts because it is a bit on a yellow side. It strains well some clumps but overall smooth. Taste has some slight bitterness, umami and seaweed notes. Love love it. Does not make mouth dry. Perfect for everyday latte. Tastes amazing with oat mol and maple syrup. Gives me steady energy and does not give me the caffeine crash. At this price point I’d say it is worth it and i would buy it again.

Vibrant Color, Smooth Taste, Magnificent Potentcy
Since I was boy, I've always preferred tea over coffee and I'm always on the lookout for a good tea. This is one of the finest I've had the pleasure of drinking. My first experience with green tea, were with crappy bagged green tea leaves. The blend I got tasted like lawn trimmings and I was turned off of green tea for quite awhile. However, when my Dad got very sick I decided to give green tea another shot because the numerous health benefits I had read about. Getting this tea was excellent choice. The tea helped him fight his illness and he overcome it, and helped his blood pressure. I also started drinking the tea, and for first time in my life I started drinking tea without any sugar in it at all.The package is 100g and states that there are 50 servings per bag. I haven't measured the exact number of cups of tea I've gotten out of a bag, but I've found that a 1/4 teaspoon makes a large, strong mug of green tea. I'm very pleased with the multiple organic certifications Kenko Tea has. On top of this, I'm even more pleased by the other certifications. The package is flat and very compact, making easy to store until you're ready to use it. As soon as I opened the bag, I knew this was going to be great tea. The matcha powder has rich, earthy scent to it, which matches perfectly with the pale green of the powder. This color is intense and can easily be used as food coloring like saffron, possibly even as a dye or natural pigment. The taste is smooth and mild, there is no bitterness or grassiness at all. The difference is between real Japanese matcha powder and commercially mass produced green tea, is like the difference between night and day. This may be cooking grade, but the tea is anything but a cheap cooking additive. Once you drink this, you won't want anything else. This is high grade tea and is on the expensive side. The quality worth every penny, though. I try to brew a pot of this for myself and my father every day. This is one of the few products I've brought where I could see the health benefits right in front of my eyes. Drinking this reminds me of Quentin Tarantino's line in Pulp Fiction, about buying good coffee to taste it. This couldn't apply more here. You don't need milk, sugar, or anything else to drink this, its perfect as it is. Don't cheap out, buy this and you won't be disappointed.

My review is complicated, so read to the end if you really want to understand my opinion. I really wanted to love this matcha. I don't hate this matcha, by any means. It just isn't great. I am a tea enthusiast. I have an appreciation for a wide range of teas. My chief demand is that the tea do a good job at being what it is. Cheap tea should be good, cheap tea. Flavored teas should be good, flavored teas. HIgh-end teas should be exquisite at being high end. Kenko organic matcha is priced to be ceremonial (rather than culinary) grade matcha, but it falls short of that standard. The matcha experience that I was introduced to in Uji, Japan was very distinctive: a vibrant, emerald color, frothy foam, mild temperature, and a flavor that is complex, with notes of grass, sweetness, and bitterness. Additionally, very good matcha provides an almost medicinal feeling, like you are drinking a tonic. There is a feeling of well-being that comes from sipping good matcha. Lest you think this was an effect of Japan, and not the matcha, I have had this experience at home with matcha I brought back with me from that ancient tea town. The Kenko wins on the color and foam. It whips up like any other fine grade matcha, and makes a lovely emerald bowl. Where it falls short is in flavor and the feeling of well-being. The flavor is quite mild and not very complex. I attempted to correct for the flavor with greater amounts of matcha powder in the serving, but succeeded only in making myself jittery from additional caffeine. The amazing flavor I associate with matcha just wasn't there. The feeling of well-being never materialized, either. That feeling is a very vague and subjective criticism, and should perhaps be discarded from the overall rating, but the flavor alone earns the tea only three stars.HOWEVER, I will say for organic matcha, it is likely Kenko is very good. I have tried a wide range of organic and non-organic teas, and I often find organic teas to be less flavorful than their non-organic counterparts. I don't know why this is. I am not biased against organic food; I often choose organic foods in preference for both their flavor and better practices. Organic teas, though, consistently disappoint.I think if you are committed to an organic lifestyle, and are looking for a matcha selection, Kenko is a fine choice. If you are looking for great matcha, I recommend Ippodo's ceremonial grade. Also, do yourself a favor and learn how to make matcha properly. It is brewed at a much lower temperature than even regular tea, and you must use the proper amount of powder for your serving, and you must whisk it thoroughly in a matcha bowl. You must also take care to drink the matcha before the powder settles out. If you make the tea wrong and hate the result, don't leave a negative review of the tea. That is user error, and not the fault of the seller. Also, if you do not already enjoy green tea, it is unlikely you will enjoy matcha. It is a more intense experience than regular brewed green tea.
