OTG transfer power and flexibility, with nice build quality
This simple little adapter comes in a thin plastic sleeve with a little carrying pouch. This flexible fat connector has great build quality, hence the high price of eight pounds. You can buy a simple solid adapter that does the same job for about £3, but you won’t get the ease of use that a flexible connection can provide in all scenarios. Transfer speed is the claimed 10Gbps when set up correctly with the right device. Lesser speeds are down to older devices and USB-A limitations when data is going in one direction as opposed to the optimum. Basically this cable will always give you the fastest possible transfer for whatever USB setup you are using. If you have a specificuse for it, it’s worth the £8 they are asking, just.

Not a usb A to usb c cable
Why did you choose this product over others?: This is not what is described. It is a weird little usb a male to usb a female, not a usb A male to usb C female. I can see no purpose for this beyond extending a usb cable by about 10 cm. Do not buy.

The item looked good quality but was not as described, it was a usb A male to usb A female not Usb A male to usb C female.

Good OTG extension
Used to connect my cased iPhone 15 to a Echo Touch 2 bat detector microphone. Required an OTG device and this one works well.

I bought this looking for an adapter that was as small as practical due to some USB cables having slightly larger end boots. I ran into a friend's phone having a tight or small opening in the case for connecting a USB cord. Only my smaller ended ones would fit through his case to charge his phone. Usually, one of the factory cables that came with the phone. This should let me use ANY cord for charging instead of having to find one small enough to fit. It seems to be the same size as the cord I know fits. Alternately, this can be used as a USB-C dongle to connect a USB-C Male device for your phone (or other device) that may not fit properly because of a case or some other obstruction.
