Brilliant value
My original neck band headphones for running broke! They were 4 years old, so I researched and Shokz OpenRun Pro were advertised quite prominently, leading me to believe they were very good. £178 for the Shokz and I was so disappointed after trying them, that i made my mind up to send them back in 2 mins of use. The Shokz OpenRun Pro headphones were beautifully presented and easy to connect to a music source. However, they completely disappointed me in terms of the reasons for which they were purchased - comfortably listening to high quality music whilst running. Despite positioning them as directed (and yes, I've even questioned whether I had them on incorrectly and i know they work via bone conduction), they produce a totally irritating pulse in front of the ear, everytime a bass note sounds. It's not as though the bass sound is even good.....they just sound cheap and tin like. Hence, I took them off after a couple of minutes use, as i couldn't tolerate the sensation of being flicked in the ear everytime a bass drum sounded. These realisations may have not been so much of a surprise, if the online description had mentioned that users would receive irritating sensations whilst the product was being used. Since I love the Neck band type of ON-EAR headphones for running, and I don't like buds in my ears, I ordered a pair of these for £54! They may appear cheap due to the price, but they sound as good as I was hoping the Shokz would sound and they don't produce an irritating pulse on the sides of your head. Great value and my wife now wants a pair.

Amazing mic quality
I had quite a few Bluetooth headsets like those so far. Usually, they struggled with something. Either connectivity, range, battery life or simply mic was a disaster. Is it for everyone - no. Is it great overall - yes. Pros: - mic - you can really use it to make your phone calls. Mic collects sound from your whole surrounding though - not too good in very busy places. but still records perfectly (do not expect miracles - it is too far from your mouth to be perfect) - battery life, perhaps slightly less than promised, but considerably more than a competition. - when battery dies, there is a subtle sound produced by the headphones (in the opposition to the deafening announcements at majority of other headsets) Neutral - good sound quality - Noise cancellation - not perfect, but just enough - fit - enable you to do some jogging Cons - fit (back of the head), there is quite a big loose half loop behind my neck (I am rather skinny/slim person). It is frustrating f you are wearing any clothes with a collar- you can hear like if someone was scratching your headphones at all times. - a bit thick (they had to put the battery somewhere and super thick and soft cushion pads (noise cancellation :) ) - not the most stylish -on/off sound a bit to quiet and to similar. If you like myself keep your headphones on for a whole day - it is a great deal. Battery will last for at least 2 days. I am not comparing them to super expensive premium headsets. I have compared them to similarly priced alternatives (apples to apples approach ;) ) For a comparison, I also had for quite a while a 'Marathon' line headphones. They are similar, but slimmer and very popular on the Amazon - they had much better fit, but delivered less in all other categories. Thus I have switched to Besign and so far, I am not disappointed. Hope you have found it helpful.

These are excellent headphones. Hold a long charge and are apparently clear to talk to people on. Good volume and sound. I am updating this as my original pair went faulty, stopped charging, but I do not want to concentrate on that more so the extreme efficiency that my problem was dealt with. I sent and email and within 30 minutes had a reply giving me a code to order another pair with. I had those in 2 days. I cannot praise the company for their customer service enough. And i still stand by my recommendation for these headphones as I think overall they are superb.

Connectivity is better than other similar products on Amazon. Battery backup is superb. Sound quality can be improved.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super!

I am very peculiar about headphones. I'll explain why these are the best I have found so far. First off, I have never cared for wireless headphones. "Typical" wireless headphones fall out/off when I sweat, period. Well, they used to. These have a bit of weight to them, which I find outstanding, they are over-the-ear, and they are behind the neck. Which means they STAY IN PLACE while running/working out (and they sound decent too). I want to point out the cons of other headphones to show why I've come to my conclusion. Over the head bands tend to fall forward or backwards on your head while working out. Over the ear without a band headphones fall out/off of my ear while running. In-ear headphones fall out of my ear after sweating. I've had behind-the-neck headphones that were wireless that "wound" up for easy storage and when I wore them, they would "wind" up and away off my ear immediately (completely useless for working out). I hated those the most. So, I've mostly stuck with corded behind-the-neck headphones because they were cheap and they stayed put on my head. And the cheap headphones I had, the cord was too long, so it would always get in the way, or get caught on something all the time (like public toilets, yuck) and the sounds was mediocre at best. But they worked. However, these solve ALL of those problems. The great: The stiff and foldable "strap" behind-the-neck keeps the speakers over-the-ear in place and they don't rotate at all on my head. The weight of the speakers keeps them from bouncing off my ears. The padding is soft and good. While I was running, I didn't have to think about the cord swinging around or re-adjusting them due to movement, I almost forgot they were there and was just listening to music. It was amazing. The bass in these are pretty great for the price. The battery life is amazing. It feels like days of watching YouTube and working out before it needs to be charged. I don't normally mess with the buttons on the side, but I do know that when I am watching Youtube and I accidentally press the speaker button, the YouTube video pauses for me, and the volume buttons work as expected. So, there is great functionality for those that use it. And they stay in place while running. Did I mention that was the most important thing to me? As long as these are made, I will buy them whenever I need headphones. Now for the not-so-good: As others have mentioned, they do seem to be made for smaller/normal type heads. I typically wear a 7 5/8 hat, meaning I have a pretty big dome, and most of the time I don't feel the "tightness" of the strap hugging the back of my head, but it does happen once in a while. I know that sounds kind of weird that it sounds like my head changes shape sometimes (I don't think it does), but it is what it is, and it only happens once in a while. Another nit-picky thing is that it takes between 3 and 5 seconds to turn off and on. Which granted isn't a big deal, but I sometimes miss the first (up to 20) seconds of a video (while watching 2x speed) and it's a tiny annoyance. I have to realize they are off, hit the button to turn them on, wait for the "doo-doo-doo" (increasing higher in pitch), and then connect, "beep" (and it connects really fast as well). Last little con, my ears were kind of warm while running. It's not lost on me, that I can have medium sized, cushioned, over the ear headphones and not have that act as an insulator for heat for my ears (unless there is some miraculous new technology). I just wanted to point it out. Again, these small annoyances are miniscule in comparison to the utility and sound of these headphones for the price. I absolutely love these headphones! UPDATE: I've ran a few times now, and I think because the volume button has the slightest amount of play, it almost sounds like there is something lightly bouncing around in the right ear (the side with all the buttons) while running. I am learning to ignore this. It's not terribly distracting for me, but it's there. I still love these headphones so far. UPDATE-UPDATE. I haven't run for a while and recently got back into it. I haven't noticed any of the "something lightly bouncing around." I actually forgot about that noise until I stumbled on my review again. So, your mileage may vary with that noise. And by the way, almost a year later, I still absolutely love this headset. So, pro-tip for the manufacturer, a little gasket or rubber piece for the volume button would make a nearly perfect headset. 3rd Update: I bought 2 more sets, so I could have a dedicated set for my computer, another for my workouts, and I got one for my son. (I recommend labeling them somehow). I did notice my oldest set's charging port or the charging cord (micro-usb) seemed to have gotten a little worn and had a harder time finding the right spot to charge. However, the world is moving to USB-C, as they were on the charging port for the new pairs I ordered. And I am not going to buy a micro-usb cord just to try on my older headset. So I am just going to use the old headset until it doesn't charge anymore, then get a new one with USB-C. But the good news is that it should be about 3 years for original headset (and potentially longer with a new cord).
