Our amateur radio club bought a spool of this line to try in our pneumatic antenna line launcher. Our old line had been shortened so many times due to breakage that it was now not long enough to be useful. This braided line is GREAT! We thought it would be hard to re spool the reel but it was a breeze. We have had it stuck in a tree so hard that when we pulled on it the branch broke and not the line. It does not stretch like the old line. Great product.

Hello Anglers, I was asked by Cathy, a owner of Piscifun if I would provide a honest review and my opinion of the product that I purchased. I purchased the Piscifun 80lb braid in black. From the start I was a little on the fence about trying a new brand that was completely unfamiliar to me. I have in the past been a loyal customer to a brand that is very familiar to most braided line fisherman. I'm not sure if I can post the name so I'll let you fill in the blanks and most should be able to figure it out. The name is P-W-R-P-O. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about that product. In the beginning I was a little concerned about the quality of the Piscifun line due to the fact it seemed it was not color fast because it turned my fingers black when I spooled my reel. I thought for sure it would wash out as soon as I put it in the water and stain everything black while I was fishing. I was pleasantly surprised that didn't happen although, the line did eventually end up a dark grey rather than true black. I put a lot of faith in this Piscifun line trying it for the first time considering it's first test was under tournament conditions at a local Halibut derby this past weekend 5/25-5/26 2016. I was bouncing 3lb cannon ball weights with spreader bar and large herring with squid hoochie's. Didn't win 1st place but did win 2nd place with a 69.7lb Pacific Halibut for a $2500.00 prize. The Piscifun line performed beautifully with absolutely no problems. All the knots held great with no slippage and I had no break offs or any line failure at all. I plan to try more of their lines on all my salmon rods this summer and into the fall here in the NW. I would recommend Piscifun braided line to anyone that has or may be considering trying something new. I was not given anything, products, money or otherwise for this review just merely asked for an honest opinion and I'm in no way affiliated with the Piscifun company. I'm just a pleased customer. I wanted to put this line to the test before any recommendations, that way I can give an honest, helpful review. This was my first experience on the Florida waters with the Piscifun braided line and I can gladly say it performed beautifully in very tough conditions. It was a windy and very choppy morning, with big swells. I've spooled my Penn Battle 4000 with the Piscifun 15lb test. This is a perfect combination of castibility and durability. Very few wind knots and the jigs and spoons I was casting(1/4 to 1/2 ounce) against a stiff 15mph wind was no problem at all. I fish the florida waters for mackerals, spanish and kingfish, as well as groupers, snappers and all inshore fish in the fresh and saltwater. I was a little concerned about the strength, but I lost no fish due to breakage or knot failures. The value and quality of Piscifun cannot be beaten by its competitors. You're basically getting twice as much line at the same cost. Piscifun has a great product on their hands. As long as they cankeep this quality and price, this line is a no brainier, buy it. This mackeral in the video I caught with a sidewinder jig and Piscifun yellow colored 15lb . A great fight on light line, but no problem or worries with Piscifun. Piscifun Braided Fishing Line Update: April 2016 Here's a video of me fighting an Atlantic Bonito with the Piscifun 15lb line. The braid held up wonderfully in a real dogfight with light tackle. The only minor issue with this line is the color can fade, however strengthwise, it definitely delivers.

I have been using the Power Pro braid for a while. It is just so expensive. I looked around for a better priced braid. I found this Piscifun brand, after trying several other lower priced brands. I have now been fishing this brand, in several different weights for a few months. Since I fish 2-3 days per week, I have used it quite a bit. I use 10lb and 15 lb on my in-shore reels. I use 30lb and 40lb on my Surf reels. All have performed excellent. A few weeks ago I hooked a very large Jack under a dock on the 10lb braid. He fought really hard, rubbed that line around the pilings of the dock. Then pop, it popped loose. I thought for sure the line had snapped, as it was way too light a line for that fish in those conditions. Then I saw my lure float to the top. The braid held up. The Jack actually straightened the hook on my lure, but the line held. I was amazed. TL/DR: At 1/3 the cost of Power Pro, this Piscifun braid is an excellent choice. smooth long casts. Line strength is comparable to the more expensive line. Buy it and save yourself some money.

Is stains your fingers and you’re rod if you have a light colored rod too thin easy to cut

Works great. Not much tangle or abrasion. Casts far as well. Not thick at all in diameter.
