Small for a 40 amp ESC
This seems to be well made. At least, the package (Shrink tubing around the board) is very nicely done and the label is well made and placed nicely. I have used this with a 50mm EDF using 4S batteries and it performs well. I used an ifrared thermometer to check the temperature after an almost all full-throttle flight to and it only logged 130 degrees. I have tap water in my home that hot!

Priced well
Can't give a full honest review as I have not even flown my RC plane with this ESC in it but I've used it and other planes of a different size and seem to work fine

Good ESC
Good ESC for whatever you want to use it for.The slim profile and long cords allow for use in RC cars as well as drones.

Runs hot. Not the best quality. But the price is good if you can effectively solder.
Soldering quality is bad and larger heatsync and better heatsync compound is required to not release the magic smoke near a sustained 30 amps.. I'd guess they're actually rated for 20-30 sustained with 40A burst. But for the price I'm willing put in the work to preemptively fix the shortcomings before the FETs go out in a blaze of glory.

Immediately smoked when flown on 4s.
Flew fine on 3s (using Arris quad copter motor, 2205) on a nano skyhunter. The Arris is rated for 4s, the ESC says it was too ..nope, smoked within 15 seconds of flying. Would not recommend.

Nice speed controller
Needed a speed controller for my drone and this one worked out of the box!

Works as it should and at a good value
I wanted to build a simple, easy to fly entry level rc jet, at a budget price, for my grandson who has been flying prop planes.I searched Amazon for parts and came across this electronic speed control for the motor. When I set it up and test ran it on the bench, it was getting a little warm and I thought that could be a problem. However, when I flew the completed jet, the speed control was reasonably cool at the end of a successful 5 minute test flight.I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars, till I have a chance to use it in longer frequent flights, to see how it holds up.So far, from my experience, I'm feeling confident it will do the job.In any case, because of the value and performance, if you are contemplating a low cost project of your own, this may be the ticket.

Bought 2, Ran them on the same exact hardware, 1 was defective
im giving this 3 stars because the other esc works great and I'm replacing the defective. But I have major concerns about the lifespan of this esc. 1 of them broke after maybe 20 minutes of testing. Remember, i used the same motor, transmitter, and battery for both escs. I was not stress testing nor were the motors even mounted to anything of use, I was simply to see if a signal would be supplied and if the motor would turn. At least the esc is being replaced by amazon, but what happens a few weeks into ownership when an esc gives out for being asked, well, to do simple esc things?
